Iowa State University’s Executive MBA recently took the lecture hall to Bologna and Amsterdam, with participants from Iowa State University Ivy College of Business visiting Carpigiani, Ducati, Maersk and Royal FloraHolland.

That meant gelato production, motorcycles, global shipping and the world’s largest flower auction all made it onto the itinerary, alongside Bologna’s historic streets, Amsterdam’s canals and Keukenhof in full spring color.

We caught up with participants along the way to hear what stood out, what surprised them and what they’re taking away from the experience. Watch the video to hear it from them. 👇

Buenos Aires, Colonia del Sacramento, Santiago, the Casablanca Valley and Valparaíso: a packed itinerary for the Villanova School of Business' Executive MBA Class of 2027.

During their international immersion in Argentina and Chile, the group stepped into two very different business environments, meeting with local leaders and organizations to examine how companies are responding to the economic, political and regulatory realities shaping the region.

📍In Argentina, they gained insight into topics like inflation, economic reform, energy and technology

📍In Chile, conversations focused on foreign investment, innovation and entrepreneurship

During a recent visit to Beneš a Lát in the Czech Republic, Professional MBA students from The University of Texas at Austin explored how the company is driving innovation in manufacturing through a presentation, discussion and facility tour.

Our annual ISP summer party was the perfect opportunity to step away from our desks, enjoy great food and drinks, take on a few friendly competitions, play games and catch up outside the office.

What does it take to understand one of Latin America's largest economies? Sometimes, the best classroom is Brazil itself. ✈️

This spring, we welcomed The University of Texas at Austin PMBA cohort for an immersive week across São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, where business insights met cultural discovery. Throughout the program, participants explored topics including Brazil's economic landscape, digital transformation, AI, energy, entrepreneurship and social innovation through company visits, academic discussions and local experiences.

This video also features reflections from two local speakers who helped bring Brazil's business environment to life, offering students valuable perspectives they could only gain by being on the ground.

One university, three cities, two perspectives. 🌍✈️

Undergraduate students from LeBow College of Business - Drexel University explored Central Europe through a unique program that combined company visits, cultural activities, service-learning experiences with children and a consulting project for a local company, gaining firsthand insight into global business and local communities.

Students began their journey in either Prague or Budapest, experiencing different cultures, organizations and perspectives along the way. They then came together in Vienna, bringing different perspectives into one shared experience.

From hands-on projects to meaningful cultural moments, this is what learning beyond the classroom is all about! 🙌

Last month, ISP led a group of EMBA students from Villanova School of Business on an immersive international study trip across Argentina and Chile, two of Latin America’s most dynamic and evolving business environments. 🌎

Over ten days, participants went beyond the classroom to gain firsthand insight into:
✅ Energy strategy and sustainability
✅ Logistics, supply chain and healthcare distribution
✅ Foreign investment and economic development
✅ Innovation, entrepreneurship and startup ecosystems
✅ And much more!

The program featured executive discussions and site visits, as well as cultural experiences, from the streets of Buenos Aires and Valparaíso to the vineyards of Casablanca Valley and the innovation hubs of Santiago.

Experiential learning, cross-cultural exchange and global perspectives: this is what international education is all about!

From São Paulo to Rio de Janeiro. ✈️

Over the past week, a group of PMBA students from The University of Texas at Austin explored Brazil through company visits, cultural experiences and insightful exchanges.

From learning about Brazil’s business landscape with organizations like Natura, Banco Bradesco and Favela Inc., to experiencing the energy of Rio through Christ the Redeemer, Brazilian coffee culture and local communities, this program brought global learning to life. 🌎
