Are you thinking of moving, here in the Czech Republic? 🏠Or maybe buying, or just planning a reconstruction? 🛠️

This is a hot topic now in spring but I think knowing the related phrases comes in handy ANY TIME for all of us.💁🏻‍♀️

Maybe you know that I am moving soon to a new flat, but so do a couple of my students/friends! Apparently, spring is a great time for this. 🌼

When communicating with workers, contractors, owners etc., people don’t always speak English. 😕 Or even if they do, some words and phrases are just really specific. 🤔 I know this from my own experience (my partner is a foreigner, too). So make sure to check these out well before you get into the market! 🔍🤓

If you like to learn the practical, spoken Czech phrases in context with Czech culture and vocabulary, you’d sure enjoy my monthly newsletter! 💌
This topic was the last months’ theme, but we went more in depth there than here, of course. 😊

You can sign up through the link in my BIO or simply comment NEWS and I’ll lead you from there.🤗

Spring is here (yeyy) and with it, much new! As you might know, we’ll be moving to a new home (new newsletter on moving topic coming up!📨). Here is a few snippets of my pretty melancholic past few weeks. 💭

With spring, I like to think of how and where I want to invest my new energy. ⚡How to put my plans and dreams in motion? What new projects to start, how to help you better with your Czech, and how to work on my personal goals?💬

What’s on the pics:
1. Our beautiful neighbourhood in my favorite and most melancholic moment of the day 🌇
2. Nature is waking up now and us, too 🌱
3. This was my new temporary workplace 🤓 Such a cute little corner!
4. Adventures and travel! 🤩 Can you tell where is this?
5. First moments working outside after winter! (I went in after 5 mins it was too cold 😂)
6. Always learning and trying out new stuff and ideas when creating content for you guys 😏📲
7. Can’t forget to take time for friend time!
8. And nature.🌿
9. Saying goodbye to our home!💖
10. Preparing lessons, content for you and sketching ideas from nice places 🥰

⬇️
And what is new with you? 🤩
How are you welcoming the freshness and new energy?

You can try to make a little plan of your goals and dreams like me, maybe write it down?✍🏻

Maybe it’ll be new hobbies, maybe more time with friends or investing in something that you want to progress with. Maybe your Czech? 💬🇨🇿

If the latter is the case, I’d be honored to be considered as your guide. 🤩

Comment YEYSPRING if you’re playing with the idea to evolve your Czech skills more.💪🏼

“I need to post this before it’s too late!”
The spring is nearly here.😅

This is a little cut of the topic that I wrote about in my previous newsletter,
when all my students and also family were going to ski! ⛷️🏂

I think this winter sports vocab & phrases are still gonna be useful.🏔️
Worst case you’ll just dust them before using the next season.😏

Co máš nejradši? Lyže? Běžky? Saunu? 🤩❄️

This time of year, 2 years go, I was in India.🇮🇳

-A bit of a cheesy post incoming.😂 -

Time flies like crazy! It’s actually my first time to share anything from there (because I’m terrible and still didn’t prepare my video haha).

I did a yoga teacher training there, because I love yoga and I was so thirsty to learn more. I did, but I also found out, that I’ll always keep learning and big part of it happens inside (same goes for language learning 😏). But I had so much fun and so many experiences!

And I feel so lucky to have met all these people and to have shared time together. Thank you thank you! Maybe we’ll meet again one day.🤍

I spent 1 more month there travelling after my YYT. I saw again the Himalayas, which is the best and most beautiful place on earth (every time I see it I tear up). 🏔️

I could say so much about this trip actually. (Also have so much more pictures haha).

But I’ll just say that I’m so very grateful!

Pictures:
1.I made it 🥹
2.Another day of classes 😍😍
3.The food 🤤
4.Another time by the famous Ganga!
5.My favorite trio ❤️
6.My new best friend! (I love cows).
7.A class on the beach 😍
8.All of us 🤍
9.I finally did my piercing! Postponed it only by about 13 yrs 🤣
10.Piercing buddies 😍
11.Those Indian sweets, gosh.
12.And now - to the Himalayas 🤍
13.🥹
14.In our first Himalayan village
15.Best trekking team!
16.🌅

Travelling is probably my biggest passion. I recently realized how important it is for me to travel and explore!❤️🌍
I hope there is much more awaiting.

One of the things I love about my job is that we get to share each other’s culture with my students.
So in a way, I travel every day a little bit with you all! 🥹

Thank you for always enriching me with something new!

Another one from the popular series of Czech cases!😅✍🏻📖

Say hello to the instrumental case. 👋🏻

Just a little bit about cases (ending changes of Czech words) in general:
- You can think of cases as different contexts (or different situations). 💁🏻‍♀️
- These ending changes help us be more specific in different situations. 📌

Take this case for example. 👇🏻

Instrumental case (the names come from latin) - we use it, when we are using some instrument to help us achieve something, in a way.🪡

Such as taking transports! Metro, train, car, tram, …🚇🚂🚙🚃 These vehicles serve us as instruments to get somewhere. ⏩

It can also mean “by” as in “I go by metro”Ⓜ️ or “I do it by hand”. 🤚🏻

👉🏻I believe that by understanding how cases work in general, and then specifically one by one, we can make better sense of the constant ending changes! 🧠Which in turn helps us to put it all in practice and that’s what we want. 😎

Let’s start with this and build on it!👷🏼‍♀️
👇🏻
Have you already talked about taking transports in Czech? 🗣️
Let me know in the comments how it went! 🤩
