This months project is 3D Printed Bottle Holder, that changes colours based on the temperature. This is such an easy an fun project, that you can do using only TinkerCAD.

Many teachers have reached out to me, mentioning that their 3D printers can only print with flexible filaments that are quite rigid (e.g., 40D). I always tell them that they can absolutely use more rigid flexible filaments in their classes, as long as they employ a few simple tricks to make their prints softer and more flexible.

Here are a 3 tips to make your textiles softer and more flexible.

1. Print on top of vellum paper ➡️ this will make your prints softer.

2. Align your infills 45deg to the wall ➡️ creating a "bias" structure will make your textile more flexible.

3. Print an odd number of layers ➡️ the resulting imbalance will increase flexibility.
