Per la prima, storica, volta Israele è stata esclusa da una grande competizione sportiva internazionale.

Non potrà partecipare ai Mondiali di Ginnastica Artistica di ottobre a Giacarta.

E il motivo è semplice: perché la nazione ospitante, l’Indonesia, ha negato il visto a tutta la Nazionale e cancellato (da tempo) ogni rapporto con Israele fino a quando non riconoscerà lo Stato di Palestina.

Ci ha dovuto pensare un singolo Paese a fare quello che avrebbero dovuto da mesi tutti gli organismi internazionali.

Non è discriminazione. Si chiama diritto internazionale, quello che è stato applicato (giustamente) alla Russia di Putin e che Israele non sa neanche dove stia di casa.

Lo impareranno a loro spese.

È commovente sapere che nel mondo c’è ancora qualcuno che tratta Israele per quello che è e merita, senza immunità né impunità.

Speriamo sia solo la prima di una lunga serie.
