Summer heat has arrived in Prague!
But we’re not afraid of it!
Unlike many playgrounds in Prague, our playground is surrounded by shade from beautiful old trees, so children can play outside comfortably even on hot days.
And our historic villa stays naturally cool inside, keeping everyone happy and comfortable all day long!
Last week, Bellementary community Friday trip was a little different from usual. Instead of a museum or exhibition, our school children went to visit our friends at Cool Critters a well-known shelter you all helped to raise donation during our Christmas Market.
Before the trip, the children learned how shelters like this work and drew some of the animals they were about to meet.
Jaq, the founder of Cool Critters, shared how the animals arrive at the shelter, how they are cared for and how they are prepared for a new life.
And of course, the children had plenty of time to pet and play with the animals who were happy to receive so much attention.
It was a genuinely meaningful trip: one that showed how important it is to care for those who are more vulnerable.

One of the biggest advantages of Jingle Bells? Definitely our location!
We are located in a beautiful UNESCO-protected villa right in the heart of Prague. And what does that mean for our children and families?
Of course, it means excellent accessibility: we are just a 5-minute walk from metro Hradčanská and several tram stops. But even more importantly, it gives children daily access to amazing outdoor spaces.
Our youngest children enjoy safe and peaceful outdoor time in our garden. And for older children, right in front of our building (with no roads to cross and nowhere else to walk to first!) there is a large fully equipped playground, perfect for children aged 3 and up.
And that’s not all, we are literally surrounded by Prague’s beautiful parks!
When the weather becomes consistently warm, like it is now, we extend our outdoor time and head for adventures in places like Deer Park or Letná Park. There, children can invent even more games, run freely on the grass, explore nature and simply enjoy being children outdoors.
We truly believe that childhood should include fresh air, movement, nature and freedom to explore. And our location helps us make this part of everyday life, not just a special occasion.

What an incredible celebration the Jingle Olympics turned out to be!
We brought together our children, parents, and alumni for a day full of fun and connection. We ran, we fell, we laughed, and pulled the tug of Love (because there is only Love in Jingle Bells, no war :)
The kids had an amazing time, and all of us felt that strong sense of community that means so much to us at Jingle Bells!

Every Friday, our oldest Kindergarten and Elementary children go on trips across Prague. It can be museums, parks, the Planetarium, or, like today, unique places such as the Adventure Playground.
It’s an incredible space where children can boost their creativity by literally building their own playground. Everything is possible there, and it’s amazing to see how they transform from “What shall we do here?” to real, hands-on creation.
This is one of the core principles at Jingle Bells. We don’t just sit inside our bubble – we go out and explore!
