Have you ever wondered why some Czechs say polévka, while others say polívka? Or why you'll hear both sýr and sejr?

These aren't random mistakes, they're examples of the difference between standard Czech (spisovná čeština) and colloquial Czech (obecná čeština). Native speakers switch between these forms all the time, often without even realizing it.

Textbooks will not teach you real czech, NOBSCZECH.CZ will!
