What to expect: ombudspersons from Czech universities will explain their role and how they help students facing academic/supervisory issues, unfair treatment or conflicts. We will discuss real-life cases and share experiences in a safe, open, and supportive space. You’re invited to ask questions, share concerns — or simply listen.

🎓 Včera se naši členové předsednictva Alicia, Evita Bílková a Mičáň zúčastnili Doktorské školy Univerzity Pardubice, kde vedli dva interaktivní workshopy (v češtině i angličtině) na téma „Jak předcházet a překonávat překážky během doktorského studia.“
Diskutovali jsme o nejčastějších výzvách, kterým čelí začínající výzkumníci, a sdíleli praktické tipy, jak se s nimi vypořádat. 💬

🎓 Yesterday, ČAD board members Alicia, Evita Bílková, and Mičáň joined the Doctoral School at the University of Pardubice for two interactive workshops (in Czech and English) on “Preventing and Tackling Obstacles during PhD Studies.”

We discussed the most common challenges faced by early-career researchers and shared practical tips on how to anticipate, avoid, and overcome them. 💬

A big thank you to everyone for the warm atmosphere, excellent organization, and inspiring discussions! 🙌

👍 👎 V rámci série "Občanská společnost hodnotí Fialovu vládu" Deníku referendum Předseda ČAD, Jakub Šindelář poskytl komentář k bilanci vládního působení dopadajícího na podmínky PhD studia - PhD reformě a řešení mateřské pro doktorandky.

👍 👎As part of the series "Civil Society Evaluates Fiala's Government" by Deník Referendum Deníkre, the chair of ČAD, Jakub Šindelář, provided a perspective on the government’s activity in the area affecting PhD studies – the PhD Reform and the issue of maternity leave rights for doctoral researchers.

Jakub Šindelář: Vláda dotáhla doktorskou reformu, ale u mateřské pro doktorandky selhala Fialově vládě se podařilo prosadit novelu zákona o vysokých školách. Doktorandi budou mít zaručeno důstojné minimum. Nadále však studentky, placené formou stipendia, nebudou moci čerpat mateřskou. O celkovém podfinancování sektoru nemluvě.
