“career - opportunities, advancement, embark, promising, chances, sabbatical …”
another thought-provoking and engaging session created by my dear colleague Steven for my dear clients in accounting
happy to have Steven on board!

I'm not a huge fan of testing; however, there's a time and place for everything.

It’s been a while.
Another good year — teaching and learning—behind us, and I am already looking forward to the next one.
The handful of young learners I've also been working with, have grown into young men and women and will shortly be taking their well-earned breaks.
Summer or not, there’s no break for us when it comes to in-company teaching. And that’s okay.
About 12 months ago, I brought on board a couple of brilliant colleagues who played a big part in making this year a success.
WE are extremely grateful for the positive feedback we’ve been receiving as we approach the end of this teaching period. And when the occasional critique comes our way, we face it with an open mind.

Here we go again!
As an avid follower of Unplugged, also known as Dogme-style teaching, I am excited to once again pick the brain of my role model and endless source of inspiration, Scott Thornbury, to stay at the top of my game.
I’m not just teaching; I am also learning.

From time to time, I would talk to the learners about
why we are doing what we are doing.

We make sure that our learners can relate to the material they encounter in the lesson.
In line with:
“what’s personal, it’s memorable”.

It’s that time of the year again.
In July of every year, I ask each and every one of our clients - currently 35 - how happy they were with working with us, in what aspect they have improved, what they would like to change, and if they want to continue taking lessons from me and my colleagues.
Then, I sit down with management and agree on the way forward - set the goal and adjust our modus operandi.
Some people take holidays at the sea. I busy myself with pondering future strategies from the quiet of my home.
End of Teaching Period Assessment is one of my favourite parts of running a teaching business.

I tend to let novice learners write down their thoughts before they speak.

We expect our learners to take
r e s p o n s i b i l i t y for their progress, or lack of it.
that's how we work

It's not enough to just give learners a chance to speak; it's crucial to also motivate them and give them a reason
to w a n t to speak.
