Respect is a Two-Way Street:
A workshop series on respectful approaches to parenting children

Our goal is to foster open discussion and individual reflection on our own experiences in order to become more aware of our attitudes towards ourselves and our children. In this way we believe participants can come to a greater understanding of the types of relationships they want in their lives and, also, be equipped with the skills to invest in them. We provide opportunities for active learning,

including small group work with scenarios to practice respectful communication skills. Upcoming workshop series: Autumn 2017

How communication approaches fit in with how the brain works

The use of power and how it can influence your children's development

Effectively responding to emotions and needs of others

Effectively communicating our emotions and needs

Alternatives to punishment: Making the shift from extrinsic to intrinsic motivation

Alternatives to rewards and praise: Expressing appreciation and recognition

Assessment in school, competition vs. cooperation, conflicts between children
