Do you know what my favorite activity is during the day?​​​​​​​​

Napping 🥰​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
I have been doing it for more than two decades now. As I wake up every day very early in the morning, it gives me an extra boost for the second half of the day. ​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
I used to sleep anywhere and everywhere. While working all over the world, I napped in very comfy places like the beach or massage table in the wellness area of a five-star hotel, but many times I just took a yoga mat and hid somewhere quiet 🤷🏻‍♀️​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
Luckily today, I have the privilege of napping in my bed. The priority is to sleep, no matter where. This is my way of taking care of the body, resting, and restoring energy. I feel very grateful for that. ​​​​​​​​

Your self-discipline is the first thing you want to work on. What do I mean by that? I have not met or studied any successful athlete who was not disciplined. There will be times when you don’t feel like it or are too tired. It is normal. ​​​​​​​​

How you respond to those situations is the difference between the best and the average. The correct response usually feels at the start more demanding and more challenging. But I promise you will feel great pride and fulfillment when completing it. ​​​​​​​​

In the beginning, everyone experiences the turmoil of their thoughts. The feeling that they don’t know what they suppose to do. The urge feeling of being “ less than” because you can’t quiet the mind. Or the thoughts are urging you to get up and do something more “meaningful.” 👉 IT IS THE MIND FIGHTING THE TRAINING. 👈​​​​​​​​

‼️ ONLY WITH MEDITATION PRACTICE DO YOU SLOWLY LEARN HOW TO GET AWAY FROM YOUR THOUGHTS SO THE MIND WILL GET QUIETER. ‼️ ​​​​​​​​

Even though it is difficult to pinpoint an exact number, experts suggest that 80% of your performance is mental and 20% physical. ​​​​​​​​

When you think about it, that means that based on these numbers, tennis players should spend more time developing and cultivating their mind skills (mental) than their physical skills 🤯​​​​​​​​

Concentrate! You have to concentrate more! Is this advice helpful to you?🤔 ​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
It was not for me at all. Have you ever experienced the frustration of feeling that you are trying your best, but it is not enough? I often tried to focus as much as possible, but the command still returned. I did not know what to do to “satisfy” my coach. ​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
I did struggle to keep my level of concentration up. It was always up and down, and of course, it affected the matches’ results. I tried, and sometimes it was better, and suddenly in another game, it was off again. ​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
Later in life, I got introduced to mindfulness and meditation practice teachings. When I sat down to be still and quiet, I realized for the first time that keeping my attention on a concentration object for a more extended time was pretty challenging. I realized why my concentration was on and off all the time. Knowing how to focus takes many hours of practice, which I did not even know I should do or how to do.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
Yes, I still get distracted on and off the court. However, I get better and better. I will learn to concentrate for the rest of my life because it is a skill, and there is always space for improvement. ​​​​​​​​

Do you sometimes feel the pressure of the expectations of being seeded at a tournament? 🤔​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
It is most likely that everyone feels it sometimes, including the best in the world. It is normal to feel the pressure of expectations. ​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
However, the goal is not to get affected by it. How? ​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
☝️ First, quietly listen to your inner voices and thoughts to become aware of them. You may very quickly recognize where the expectations and pressure come from. ​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
✌️After that, accept that they are there. Please do not create any thoughts, opinions, or discussions around it. The thoughts will disappear on their own. Just breathe, focus on your inhale and exhale. ​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
Do this every time you feel pressure, not just from expectations. ​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
From experience, you will have to do it repeatedly before a competition and during a match. ​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​

Because the mind keeps asking me if I am capable and don’t know if I can pull it off, guess what... I have always managed to pull it off. It doesn’t matter if it was a challenging exercise routine or creative work. I have always managed to do it. ​​​​​​​​
