🌍 Over the past year, international life has been thriving at MVSO, both on campus and across Europe.

MVSO hosted the 11th International Week, featuring numerous guest lecturers from various countries, as well as business intercultural activities such as a China–Czech session with the Confucius Institute and a student Spring Party.

Together with Jerusalem Multidisciplinary College (JMC), MVSO delivered its course Management of Healthcare Organisations, focused on the digital transformation of healthcare. The onsite part took place on 27–30 April, with Czech and Israeli students working in multicultural teams, taking part in practitioner-led workshops, and visiting the University Hospital Olomouc.

International cooperation continued with NICE Network’s latest meeting in Dublin, bringing together more than 40 European higher education institutions focused on business and economics education, including MVSO.

Our academics also represented MVSO abroad, presenting on AI in management, teaching behavioural finance, and sharing expertise in Izmir, Budapest, Katowice, Bratislava, and Žilina.

And there is more to come: in less than a week, MVSO will host ICLEL 2026, the 12th International Conference on Lifelong Education and Leadership for All (7–9 July), welcoming over 150 guests and keynote speakers from around the world. 🎓

MVSO at the NICE Network Meeting in Dublin 🇮🇪

From 15–17 June 2026, Dublin hosted another meeting of the international NICE Network (New Initiatives and Challenges in Europe), which brings together more than 40 European higher education institutions focused on business and economics education.
MVSO was represented at this prestigious event by Mgr. Vladimíra Koutná, Deputy to the Vice-Rector for Strategic Partnerships.
The meeting provided an opportunity to share experiences, strengthen international cooperation, and discuss new challenges and opportunities in higher education.

On Thursday, June 19, the official part of the 34th annual NICE Network international meeting was ceremonially opened at Moravian Business College Olomouc 🎉.
The opening plenary session introduced the university, its strategy and vision, and welcomed both new and returning members of the network 👋. The program then continued with thematic workshops 🧑‍💻, an interactive World Café discussion block 🗣, and a presentation about Czechia 🇨🇿 and the city of Olomouc focused on its history, traditions, and cultural characteristics of the region 🍑🥥.

📍 As part of the NICE Network 2025 programme, participants visited Bouzov Castle 🏰 yesterday, explored the historic centre of Olomouc, and concluded the day with a joint dinner.

📢 MVŠO Hosts the 34th NICE Network Annual Meeting

From June 18 to 20, Moravian Business College Olomouc is honoured to welcome representatives from 40 business-focused universities across Europe. This prestigious event provides an opportunity for sharing international expertise and strengthening cooperation with global partners 🌍
We are deeply honoured that the NICE Network has selected us as this year’s hosting institution. We see this not only as recognition of our long-term professional engagement, but also as a valuable opportunity for our college, the city of Olomouc Statutární město Olomouc and the Olomouc region Olomoucký kraj.

🔹 MVŠO in Maribor! 🔹
Associate Professor Adam Pawliczek represented our school at the international conference "Sustainable Management in the Age of ESG and AI", held from 12–16 May at the University of Maribor in Slovenia. 🌍📊

👨‍🏫 As part of the programme, he:
✅ gave a lecture on the use of artificial intelligence in management
✅ chaired a professional session
✅ presented the results of his research
✅ actively engaged in discussions with academics from various countries

Thanks to his participation, we have once again strengthened our international scientific cooperation and promoted the good name of MVSO abroad. 👏✨

💡 International Workshops

On Tuesday, students from the Jerusalem Multidisciplinary College visited the University Hospital Olomouc 🏥. The Deputy for Digitalisation, Ing. Antonín Hlavinka, introduced them to the challenges the hospital faces when implementing digital solutions.

This was followed by a workshop with the Olomouc-based start-up KardiAi ❤️, focused on innovations in cardiology.

On Wednesday, the programme continued with two inspiring lectures:
💻 Prof. Vera Antonia Bűchner from the Technical University of Applied Sciences Nuremberg (Germany) spoke about digitalisation in healthcare from the perspective of change management and agility.
👨‍⚖️ JUDr. Vladimír Lichnovský, First Deputy Governor of the Olomouc Region for Healthcare, Finance and Investment, and Energy, talked about the approach to healthcare in the region and the role of the regional government in this area.

The joint programme between MVSO and the Jerusalem Multidisciplinary College offers students a unique experience across disciplines and cultures. 🤝✨
