Final TPM in Sintra, Portugal
The final meeting (TPM) of the Life for Biodiversity project took place in Sintra, Portugal, kindly hosted by Form2you. During the meeting, project partners discussed the final amendments and agreed on the remaining steps needed to complete all activities and deliverables.

With these final adjustments confirmed, we are now ready to finalise the project implementation and proceed with the closing phase. We would like to thank all partners for their cooperation, commitment, and valuable contributions throughout the project.

The final meeting (TPM) of the Life for Biodiversity project took place in Sintra, Portugal, kindly hosted by Form2you. During the meeting, project partners discussed the final amendments and agreed on the remaining steps needed to complete all activities and deliverables.

Realizámos a Conferência do projeto LIFEBIO – Life for Biodiversity, um momento inspirador de partilha e reflexão sobre a importância da biodiversidade, a sustentabilidade e o papel de cada um na proteção do nosso planeta 🌱💚.

👉 Contámos com a participação de mais de 30 participantes, que contribuíram ativamente para debates, atividades práticas e troca de experiências, reforçando a necessidade de promover uma maior consciência ambiental e ações concretas em prol da biodiversidade 🦋🌳.

Did you know that even small changes in the landscape can have huge consequences for amphibians? 🐸💧
From water temperature and toad migration to the impact of cities, invasive species, and the loss of wetlands — everything is connected more than we often realize.

Each of these stories shows just how sensitive amphibians are to changes around them and why it’s so important to see the landscape as a whole. 🌿

💧 Did you know that rivers reflect the health of the entire landscape?
When rivers are clean and full of life, they signal a healthy environment. Prolonged droughts slow water flow, raise temperatures, and reduce oxygen levels - threatening fish, aquatic insects, and the species that depend on them. 🌊🐟

Trees along riverbanks help cool the water and stabilize soil, while sensitive species like the black stork or river otter disappear when rivers lose their natural balance. Protecting rivers means protecting life far beyond the water itself. 🌍💚

📢 We Have Successfully Delivered the Two Workshops Planned in the Life for Biodiversity Project! 🌍🦋🌱

Form2you is pleased to announce that we have successfully completed the two key workshops foreseen in the Life for Biodiversity project, bringing together young people, educators, and community members to explore biodiversity, climate change, and sustainable practices.

📘 Workshop 1 – Case Study & Scientific Activities
Participants explored evidence of climate change through case studies, direct observation, hands-on experiments, and collaborative learning. They analysed real impacts on local biodiversity and reflected on practical solutions to protect fragile ecosystems.

📗 Workshop 2 – Capacity Building & Educational Methodologies
Designed for educators, youth workers, and facilitators, this workshop focused on innovative pedagogical approaches, supporting materials, and science-based teaching strategies, strengthening essential competences for working on environmental themes with young people.

✨ These learning moments represent an essential step towards the project’s core mission: to promote ecological literacy, empower educational communities, and inspire concrete action for the protection of biodiversity.

🦠 Did you know that amphibians are facing invisible threats too?

Climate change is helping dangerous diseases and invasive species spread faster than ever before. Fungal infections like chytridiomycosis damage amphibians’ skin and cause mass die-offs, while invasive species such as the red-eared slider or American mink compete with native species for food and habitat. 🌿

By protecting natural ecosystems and controlling invasive species, we can give native amphibians a fighting chance for survival. 💧
