🎶✨ On December 8th, 2024, Puffin Music School had its first concert of the year! 🌟 We were honored to perform as guest artists at a Christmas Suzuki Piano Concert here in Prague.

A huge thank you to Mariyo, the wonderful Suzuki piano teacher here in Prague, for inviting us and for accompanying us on the piano. 🎹🙏

Special applause goes to Štěpán👏🎉—he gave an incredible performance in his very first concert at just three years old, after only a few months of playing the recorder. 🎵💖

Learning an instrument by the Suzuki method is a specific way of learning. Every Suzuki teacher is teaching the same repertoire and by listening to the Suzuki songs every day, children learn the songs by heart like learning the mother tongue. Adding to the individual lessons we have group classes and concerts. Children also have the opportunity to attend Suzuki summer schools and workshops on behalf of the Suzuki Association all around the world. Because children are learning the same songs they can play together even though they don´t speak the same language ❤️🎵🎶✨

I just came back from teaching at a 4-day workshop in Iceland. We had a fantastic group of 11 children with a 10 years age gap between the youngest and the oldest. We had fun playing together, children, teachers and sometimes also parents :)

Now we are finishing our third year at Puffin Music School. In this last week of the school year, I and the brothers Erik and Oliver had a little performance for their mom in the last lesson. With this beautiful German folk song arranged for two soprano recorders and an alto, I wish you a lovely summer full of music and good memories. See you soon, Inga 💛🤸‍♀️🤸‍♂️☀️🌺🎵🎶✨

Suzuki Recorder in Prague 2022 - 2023.

My name is Ingibjörg Birgisdóttir (Inga) and I´m a level 4 Suzuki Recorder teacher from Iceland and I teach in English here in Prague. Suzuki is also called the mother tongue approach which means that children can start music lessons from the age of 3 years old and they learn on the instrument like they learn their mother language. It requires a lot of listening and parental involvement. My hope is to start a small group of students aged 3-6 years old this fall so If you have a child, or know someone who has a child that age and is interested, then I´m having an introduction about the Suzuki method and my way of teaching in my studio (Puffin Music School) at the end of August. The Suzuki method works for any age 3-99 years old so even though you don´t fit in the age group I´m looking for don't hesitate to come to the introduction. I will be happy to teach you or your child :)

Kristín Viðja had her confirmation yesterday in Selfoss Iceland. She played Bossa Nova by John Golland for her gests and Bourée by Handel from Suzuki book two with her sister, her mom, her mom's twin sister and her two boys. Enjoy 🥰🎵🎶❤️
