🌍 As part of the 🇪🇺Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility programme, our faculty is currently represented at The University of Zambia -UNZA, where our colleague from the Department of Sociology, Dr. Cviklová, is taking part in a teaching visit.
During her stay, she has been engaging with students on topics related to totalitarian and post-totalitarian systems, populism, civil society, and the European context of the Visegrád Group. She also delivered a public lecture titled “Populism in the Visegrád Group / Students’ Opportunities in the Czech Republic.”
We thank our colleagues and students at the University of Zambia for the warm welcome and inspiring academic exchange. 🇨🇿🤝🇿🇲

As the year comes to a close, we are taking a moment to look back at what has happened over the past semester. We had the pleasure of welcoming colleagues from around the world, including 🇦🇷 Universidad Nacional de San Martín, 🇬🇭 University of Ghana, 🇪🇹 Addis Ababa University, and 🇲🇽 Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo.
Their visits were made possible thanks to 🇪🇺Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility, which supports international collaboration and the exchange of knowledge. During their stay, our guests not only taught courses in their areas of specialization but also met with students from their home universities studying with us, as well as our own students and colleagues at the department. These interactions sparked inspiring discussions, new ideas, and meaningful connections across borders.
Here are some snapshots from their time with us 📸 – a big thank you to everyone who made this semester of collaboration possible!

🌏 A total of 21 international students decided to prolong their stay at our faculty for the summer semester, even though they originally came for just one semester. These students are part of the 🇪🇺Erasmus+, Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility, and the Faculty’s non-European mobility programme.
You can now meet students from countries such as Brazil, Ethiopia, Ghana, Colombia, Mexico, Venezuela, Ukraine, France, and Spain in the faculty corridors.
➡️ 15 students come from non-European countries
➡️ 6 students come from European countries
We are happy that our international students enjoy their time here so much that they want to stay longer, and that they find space at our faculty for personal growth, new friendships, and intercultural encounters 😊.

The last two-week workshop of our 🇪🇺Erasmus+ KA2 project TRARCHER has just come to an end.
Students from our university worked together with their colleagues from the 🇭🇷University of Zagreb and, remotely, from 🇫🇷Université Bourgogne Europe.
During the workshop, they explored different approaches to the analysis and reconstruction of archaeological finds – from preparing and documenting pottery, to testing the use of stone tools and examining the traces left behind. They also attended lectures and gained both theoretical and hands-on experience in ceramic and lithic analysis. 🏺
