Since 1850. The oldest agricultural school in the Czech Republic.
Libverda: The Czech partner of SHE-GROWSA hundred and seventy-six years aren't a calling card. They're an archive of what works.
Libverda, its full name is Střední škola zahradnická a zemědělská Antonína Emanuela Komerse, is an agricultural school in Děčín, in northern Bohemia 🇨🇿. Four hundred students, programmes in agriculture, horticulture, veterinary studies and floristry. In 2021, it won the European Innovative Teaching Award for an Erasmus+ project coordinated alongside none other than EFA El Soto and the Danish school Landbrugsskolen Sjælland.
It's not the first time Libverda and the SHE-GROWS coordinator have worked together. And that's precisely what makes a consortium strong: relationships that have already been tested in practice.
Within the project, Libverda brings its expertise in hydroponics, aquaponics and agricultural water management. It will host the second international mobility for 9 Tunisian trainers in Děčín, and contribute to participant certification. The aim is for sustainable farming practices developed in northern Bohemia to find application in the climatic conditions of Béja and Jendouba 🇹🇳.
