What you learn in Czech textbooks may differ a lot from what you may actually hear in informal conversations...

I know - it sucks. But you may also view it as an opportunity to join an amazing adventure 🤩 - exploring HOW CZECHS REALLY SAY IT - just like the members of my COMMUNITY Czech Your Day do every week and they looooooove it. They love guessing, wondering - there is always lots of fun (sometimes confusion for sure 🙈😅🤣).
The thing is they are learning - step by step. And they are becoming more and more confident 🥳
And so can you - with just 15 minutes a day.

How to learn Czech in a really effective way?
⭐️ do it every day for 15 minutes
⭐️ have fun while doing so
⭐️ don't skip listening - if your ears aren't used to hearing and decoding Czech, you can't have even the most simple conversation!
⭐️ use stories because context will help your brain remember the expressions much faster
⭐️ use stories from real life (ideally your own or stories you can easily relate to or the ones that are funny)
⭐️ not only consume, but also PRODUCE

Yes, Mir has passed his A2 exam.
I knew it even without results - because I knew how he reacted during our lessons.

Seeing his progress (from the e-mail sent me to the version he has become) - that has been such a unique experience even for me (after all these years as a tutor). Why? Because he has suffered a trauma... and unblocking this was NOT easy. But we managed and he has become such a talkative and amazing person. 🤩🥳💪

I loooove my job. I love how my job changes the quality of life of my students. 🤗

Yes, you can send someone to certain areas in Czech without being explicitly rude.

Just be aware of the fact that JDI DO HÁJE! is pretty strong - it equals in meaning to Get stuffed!, Screw you! etc. (the equivalent in Czech is VYPADNI! which is definitely not nice.

👉 I don't use JDI K ČERTU at all - and to be honest I don't hear it in normal conversations.

👉 You probably know the vulgar version JDI do pr...

👉 You can hear these expressions in season 2, episode 38 (and you can practice them in my community because I have created some fun activities for them 😁)

Czech language is amazing. It's so playful. When you don't let it intimidate you, the curtain rises and an amazing beauty starts appearing right in front of you...

So, yes, you can ride a bike, snowboard or horse - BTW never forget NA (jedu na kole, na snowboardu, na koni)... or sth totally different.
