Good news!
The British museum will create an online semantic database of Egyptian and Nubian antiquities in circulation on the international art market and in private collections.
The database will be an important academic resource, but it will also serve to make the art market more transparent, while acting as a deterrent to looting and other illicit activity. The database will focus on antiquities from Egypt and Sudan.

We recently shared photos from the destroyed museum in Raqqa.
At the request of INTERPOL National Central Bureau in Damascus, a special poster was created with pictures of 6 stolen objects from the museum, to expand awareness of the theft, and to increase hope for their recovery.
Not only these 6 objects, but all the objects which had a photographic documentation have been entered into the database of stolen works of art.
This page: https://www.interpol.int/Crime-areas/Works-of-art/Posters features several other posters of stolen objects from museums in Palmyra, Syria and Mosul, Iraq.
