🇺🇸 Ondřej Rolník has been living in the United States for almost a year, where he works as Managing Director at the Czech Business Incubator in Atlanta.

How did he get to this job? And what surprised him most about the U.S.—both in business and in everyday life? 👀

Ondřej Rolník je absolvent PEF MENDELU Ondřej Rolník už téměř rok žije v Atlantě ve Spojených státech, kde jako Managing Director vede Czech Business Incubator Atlanta.

🎉 Congratulation to Lea Kubíčková on successfully completing her professorial appointment.

Lea Kubíčková is a member of the Department of Trade and Business, where she has long been engaged in the issue of food waste, as well as education and awareness in the area of sustainable consumption 🌍 In her work, she emphasizes that real change happens only when schools, institutions, companies, and the public work together toward a shared goal.

We would like to thank Professor Kubíčková for her contributions to our faculty to date and wish her every success in the future.

🏆 Our colleague Ing. Peter Albrecht, Ph.D. received an award at the General Assembly of the Slovak Academy of Agricultural Sciences in a competition for young researchers in the social sciences.

For his publications, including an original article published in a first-quartile impact journal, he was awarded 2nd place in the category of international scientific contributions 🥈

Our faculty is part of a new international project connecting leading European universities and supporting the development of doctoral education.

The Doctoral School Network is a platform that brings together research teams and PhD candidates across Europe 🤝

🇪🇺 Pawan Kumar Mishra from PEF MENDELU represents the Czech Republic in a prestigious European bioeconomy committee.

Dr. Mishra has become a member of the Strategic Working Group on Bioeconomy under the Standing Committee on Agricultural Research (SCAR) of the European Commission. 🌱

Her Excellency Theresa Adjei-Mensah, Ambassador of Ghana to the Czech Republic, personally attended the graduation ceremony at our faculty to support Ghanaian graduates.

The cooperation between MENDELU and Ghana has been developing since 2007. Over the past ten years alone, more than 100 Ghanaian students have successfully graduated from our faculty. Currently, the faculty hosts around 30 students from Ghana.

We sincerely appreciate Her Excellency’s visit and continued support and look forward to further strengthening our partnership.

Our student Milan Dobrovolný, regularly follows updates from the faculty’s International Office. There, he discovered a call for applications for the MIRAI programme, organized by the Japanese Embassy, which annually brings together talented students from Europe’s top universities.

Interest in the programme is enormous. This year, approximately 6000 students from around the world applied. Only twenty students were selected for Milan’s thematic group.
