Confused by small talks? They are not as scaring as you think.
If your socializing skills are a little rusty, these small-talk topics and tips will help you be a smooth speaker.👌
🔸 Keep A Few Questions In Your Pocket. Having a few small-talk questions will give you something interesting to share on the fly. If you are going somewhere try to come up with two or three things to talk about in case the conversation runs dry.
🔹Catch Topics From the News. After all, what is small talk but an opportunity to talk about current events and superficial topics.
🔸Use All The Details. Begin the conversation by giving the other person something to work with — don't skip the details. Try to answer in full, so your partner will have things to hold on to.
🔹Listen More. Simple but still works. People love to talk about themselves, so your task is to listen carefully.
🔸Don't Be Scared Of Silence. You are not supposed to talk all the time. It's okay sometimes to think about your answer. Silences aren't as long as you think they are.
Don't be afraid if you are not so good for the first time. Be sure, practice brings you more confidence.

As we discussed earlier watching movies is one of the fastest ways to improve your English skills. Actually, it's not only useful for learning but also just brings you fun, so you can easily catch the main sense of a dialogue. 💻

FRIENDS - I will start with the gold classic because I can😜.
The plot of the show introduces you to various everyday situations. The themes of friendship, romance, family, and comedy all rolled into one. The show is full of idioms, wordplays, and catchy phrases alongside really charismatic characters.

BLACK MIRROR
Black Mirror is a science-fiction series of stand-alone stories. Some of the episodes can be a bit dark and unsettling. Black Mirror features a number of accents, words used in new and unusual ways, along with a decent amount of slang and regional expressions.

NEW GIRL
Another sitcom is about a girl that moved to a flat with three different boys. And again the focus is on the relationships between young people. When it comes to comedies, it's always slang, weird expressions, and unexpected circumstances.

BROOKLYN NINE-NINE - it seems to be a list of sitcoms😅.
Anyway, Brooklyn 9-9 isn’t a typical cop show. The show tells us about a diverse cast of detectives in the 99th police department. The comedy addresses sensitive topics such as inequality, racism, homophobia, mental health, morality, and toxic masculinity with humor.

THE GOOD PLACE
It takes place in a fictional ‘Good Place’ that represents heaven, the Good Place is a great show for improving your English vocabulary. As well as its fairly slow-moving plot, many of the stories are repeated making it the perfect starting point for someone new to English TV.

📑Have a lot of things to do? - Plan your errands in English!
It will help you to learn many new words related to your daily routine.
Practice on your way to work / university / school.
If you take public transportation, then you have lots of time to practice your English. You can do it with fun using mobile apps.
🎵And again - try with music! Listening to various songs will help introduce you to new accents and English slang. And, of course, will introduce you to the culture.
⏰Going to sleep? - Speak English. Every day, before going to sleep, think about what you did today and what things you need to do tomorrow.
It can be unusual for the first time. But the more you try - the more you gain. So which step do you want to start with?😏

Music can influence us on different levels. It can affect our feelings and bring back memories. As well as stimulating our emotions, music will be helpful to learn languages.🎵
Do you have a favorite English song? - try to memorize new words and expressions. Find its lyrics, print them out or keep on your phone. Each time you listen to the song, sing along. Soon, you will know the words by heart, which means you can use them in future conversations!
🎙Improve your focus. Songs can also improve your listening and critical thinking skills. Close your eyes and listen carefully. Try to pick out any words you know and even some you don’t, and write them down. You can check them later. Even native speakers sometimes have a hard time distinguishing all the words in a song. So don't worry.
🎙Get with the beat. Clap your hands or tap your feet to help you create a steady rhythm. Then read your new vocabulary words or phrases out loud, stressing the sounds of words. These funny actions will help with your syllable stress and sentence stress.
🎙Rhymes make learning so much easier. Try making rhymes out of simple grammar rules or new vocabulary. Use all the techniques that can help you to improve your learning or even crate your own!
