During our latest reflective meeting of the academic year, as we were looking back on everything we had achieved together and while looking on our vision, this came out, “It takes a Lighthouse to raise a child.”

The moment it was said, it resonated with all of us.

What we love most about it is that it wasn’t created by a marketing agency, it emerged naturally from our own team, reflecting the culture, values, and sense of community we have built together.

Because it so perfectly captures who we are and what we believe, we have decided to embrace it and use it as part of Lighthouse moving forward.

Today we are celebrating Lighthouse Secondary School!

We are incredibly proud to share that Lighthouse Private School won 2nd place at the sCYence Fair 2026 with the project:

“Tech for Nature: Smart Greenhouse for a Sustainable Future”

Tech for Nature is part of a broader collaboration with NTSomnii through the wider “Tech for Change” initiative.

The competition brought together around 70 school teams from across Cyprus, showcasing innovation, creativity, and scientific thinking.

A huge congratulations to our amazing students for their teamwork, and determination, and a special thank you to their teacher, Giannis Liassi, for guiding and supporting them throughout this journey.

When students are truly known, supported, and encouraged, they grow with confidence, curiosity, and belief in themselves. Smaller school communities allow for deeper connections, more personalised guidance, and the kind of attention that helps children turn ideas into meaningful achievements.
