GCSE Results Day at King Richard School was a wonderful celebration of achievement, progress and resilience. We are particularly proud that 85% of students achieved grade 4+ in English and Mathematics and 63% achieved grade 5+, both figures significantly exceeding typical national averages. There were some superb individual performances, with students achieving outstanding grades and making exceptional progress across a wide range of subjects. A number of students also secured the coveted grade 9, demonstrating the highest levels of academic achievement.
We are especially proud of those students who completed their GCSEs in challenging circumstances, joining KRS part-way through their courses and showing remarkable determination to catch up and succeed. Our long-standing KRS students also achieved outstanding results and progress, reflecting their sustained hard work and the excellent support provided by staff. We are equally delighted with the achievements and progress of our students with SEND, whose results demonstrate their commitment, resilience and the impact of personalised support.
I say it again, but none of this would be possible without the support of all involved, be it teachers, support staff, governors, Station, parents and most importantly our wonderful students.
Students should look forward to their exciting next steps but should not forget to enjoy the day!

Brilliant news!

The results are in and once again the students at KRS have smashed it out of the park! There are some fantastic overall and individual results for which we are all very proud. 71% of all our level 3 entries achieved a grade of A-C and the students average grade across all subjects was a C+. We are very proud to say that all students who completed the UCAS application process have been offered either first or second choice at university.

I always say that results are a combination of joint work between teachers, support staff, governors, parents and Defence Children Services. This is no different this year and I would like to thank all of those who have supported school and students this year, including the wider Station.

We have not hid our pride at this particular group of Y13 students throughout the year and we are so pleased that they can now move on to very exciting next chapters.

Enjoy you next chapter but don't forget to enjoy today as well!
