7th century Colossal statue of the God Bes, standing at 4 meters tall.

Stolen from the excavated ruins of the Cypriot Kingdom of Amathus, it is currently in display at Constantinople’s archaeological museum.

A 4,000 year-old Temple has been unearthed in Erimi, making it the oldest to be found yet in Cyprus.

10 years ago, the archaelogy team excavating Prastio-Mesorotsos location in Paphos, found, among other findings, a stone-built prehistoric barbeque, and a domed oven daring back to nearly 9,000 years.

The oven was simillar to the ovens locals still use today to cook "κλέφτικο".

Did you know,

That the oldest structural remains to be excavated so far at the ancient city of Kourion, are those of a PYRAMID?

It is true that structures like a pyramid or tumulus are not often related to the island, however excavations are here to correct our misconceptions.

Exciting find in the center of Limassol! Another grave that belongs to the 13th century B.C. has been revealed.

This is a very interesting find, as Limassol is usually placed chronologically after Amathous, even though there are evidence to support the opposite. What seems to hold true, is that Limassol was not a major urban center (like the nearby Amathous and Kourion) until after the destruction of Amathous by the Arab raids.

Congrats big man!

If you don’t know,now you know. I signed with Dana White’s Contender Series and I’m fighting August 15th in Las Vegas. It was a long run and I’m finally step away from my dream. It will be an honor for me to represent my country in the biggest promotion in the world as the only Cypriot in the UFC. Get ready for another amazing knockout,nobody can take it away from me.
