Proof that A&E, medicine and Surgery can get along just fine 😍 ⁣⁣⁣

Shoutout to the best combination of A&E, medicine and surgical SHOs on nights a few weeks ago! ⁣Working nights becomes soooooo much better if we all just put the patients first and stop arguing over referrals and which team needs to accept the patient AHEM AHEM (surgery) 👀😂⁣ ⁣

Barts hospital always pulls at my heart strings and that’s not because it’s a cardiology centre 😂⁣
⁣
As a Med student, every year we used to have clinical finals exams (OSCEs) here and there have been so many emotions associated with this place! ⁣
⁣
Such an honour to be invited back for the Christina Swain Trauma Fellowship gathering! I was awarded the Christina Swain Trauma Fellowship in 2018/19 in memory of a Bart’s student who tragically passed away in South Africa on her elective. ⁣
⁣
This year will be 30 years since Christina’s family and professor Hugh Montgomery set up the fellowship to be awarded to a student at Bart’s every year. The fellowship enabled me to go to a Phoenix, Arizona and Johannesburg, South Africa to develop my understanding of trauma medicine further fuel my passion for emergency and trauma medicine 😍⁣

Congratulations to the recipients this year! I couldn’t be more proud of being part of something so special 😍⁣
