Hello Friends and helpful souls. We just noticed great sewing bargains in Lidl. We'll begin our sewing classes soon and those scissors would be so great to have. We've just bought 2, but any more donations would be amazing...including the cottons, and other bits and bobs on special offer!! Hello Paphos helpers, today we appeal for this formula milk for a family in need who are facing deportation quite possibly. Whatever is decided, this may take weeks, maybe months and this mother is under enormous stress living without her husband since he is currently detained. Her baby has special milk requirements. Can you help us provide at least this?

Are you in Limassol and can you help provide a bed/s for a little family of 3 who were forced suddenly out of their accommodation here in Paphos. They are dear to us, and we want to ensure they have basic needs at a very stressful time. Hi Friends, we just ran out of colourful floor tiles on our garden path. The pop-up gardener decided to come and do some more paving under the Maryam mosaic, but there's not enough broken tiles. Do you live near and have any colourful broken pieces, they need to be thick tiles from flooring not ordinary thin tiles for walls etc. Please don't bring a mountain of tiles when we're not looking!!!

Just when you think the water games are over! A fine bunch of children filled the garden again today! Thankyou for the continued donations you are sending for school. Lots of work is going on in the background, behind the 'fun' stuff we continue to help people who have other more serious problems. Who ever said that volunteers were not a huge part of community life! Wednesday's volunteers selflessly think of games and snacks and ways to show children how to be good people, steering them away from selfish behaviour, leading them to managing their own happiness and sense of belonging in a community. Remember, the best fun and the best education are found in the simplest things, being with others, sharing - so much good is happening and 'bad' stuff is being un-learned.

Hello this Tuesday morning!! You are probably tired of posts for travel bags but we do need lots more! A family (mum)of 5 children are leaving this week to Syria and need large suitcases. Here they are helping us with our moringa leaf work. We'll be really sad to see them go....mum has struggled such a long time here, mainly due to a husband who wasn't a responsible man. Seems like the ladies gets punished for men's mistakes.

Hello Friends another school request please!! We have managed to help over 30 families this year. Still quite a few mums have missed out and are desperately appealing for any second hand donations...however we just gave our last school clothes away!
Here is today's request from mum, Asma - she needs clothes for any of the following children - Girls 14, 13 and 11. Boys 11 and 10.
We just need to keep giving for 1 more week before schools resume! Please help.
2 of our visiting mums and babes helped us with moringa leaf picking today. As an incentive, we are happy to share our products with you, generous donors. We are making 'super-food' moringa powder and a new venture....ointment made with olive, beeswax and Cyprus herbs.

Back to School season and our last Summer gatherings in the Learning Refuge garden ...almost unbearably hot, so the pool fun continues! Many mums arrived today looking for School items, so please continue bringing any uniform, lunch boxes, bottles, stationery and good shoes. Everything will be given out immediately. We also would love to give shoes 35 (girl) 36 and 37 (boys) for our family whose 2 boys are living with cystic fibrosis. Love=Charity.
