Με πολλή αισιοδοξία και θετικότητα η ομάδα της GrantXpert ξεκινάει τον Ιανουάριο με μια σειρά διαδικτυακών σεμιναρίων για τις οικογενειακές επιχειρήσεις, που θα υλοποιηθούν εντελώς δωρεάν, στα πλαίσια του Ευρωπαϊκού μας έργου Spring (https://www.euspring.eu).

H σειρά διαδικτυακών σεμιναρίων αρχίζει στις 12 Ιανουαρίου με τον καθ. Panikkos Poutziouris, έναν από τους πιο έμπειρους ερευνητές και συμβούλους με εξειδίκευση στις οικογενειακές επιχειρήσεις, γνωστό για το ερευνητικό του έργο σε παγκόσμια κλίμακα.

Όλα τα σεμινάρια θα διαξεχθούν απογευματινές ώρες και θα είναι στην Αγγλική γλώσσα.

To έργο υλοποιείται στην Κύπρο από τη GrantXpert Consulting, το Βρετανικό Πανεπιστήμιο Uclan Cyprus και το CYBAN Cyprus Business Angels Network.

Ο Διαγωνισμός Ψηφιακού Πρωταθλητή 2019 έχει προκηρυχθεί την προηγούμενη εβδομάδα από το Υπουργείο Ενέργειας, Εμπορίου και Βιομηχανίας.

Είναι μια εξαιρετική ευκαιρία για μαθητές (12-18 ετών), φοιτητές, φυσικά πρόσωπα, νεοφυείς/νεοσύστατες και μικρομεσαίες επιχειρήσεις να λάβουν μέρος σε ένα διαγωνισμό καινοτομίας και επιχειρηματικότητας και να κερδίσουν πολύ σημαντικά και άλλα χρηματικά βραβεία!

A great event for the founders of family businesses all over the world!

In Cyprus, where 95% of companies are family-owned and the vast majority were set up during the ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s, a well-planned handover by the founders – who, in many cases, are well past retirement age – to 2nd and 3rd generation family members is even more essential if their companies are to continue to thrive.

>How does one hand over the reins of a successful business?
>Is it right to maintain a significant family presence in the management of the company?
>Doesn’t good business sense dictate that there should be a strict policy of meritocracy rather than providing jobs for children and grandchildren?

These are just some of the questions that will be discussed and answered during the 17th Leadership and HR Management Conference.

The 17th Leadership & Human Resource Management Conference aims to facilitate conversation on important intergenerational family issues and to focus on every aspect of transitioning a successful family business.

On the 5 of August 2018, Helena Alves from University of Beira Interior in Portugal presented our ARTISAN project to the Portuguese public television at the programme entitled "Volta ao Conhecimento". This programme is supported by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education.

The aim of this dissemination activity was to present the ARTISAN project to the public, to explain briefly the work stages of the project and highlight its importance for the artisan and agrotourism family businesses.

In Portugal, the University of Beira Interior carried out the Final Dissemination Event of the ARTISAN project on 20th June 2018 in the University of Beira Interior. This was an event open to all public, took place in the building of the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences.

The main objective of this event was presenting ARTISAN Project (network of Partners, ARTISAN Training Programme, ARTISAN CASEBOOK, Online Platform and the main results) to the target public: family business, students, graduates, professors, researchers, policy makers and associations. The session was coordinated by Professor Helena Alves.

Furthermore, there was a Panel Session with guest Speakers on Family Business Succession:
- Marina de Sá Borges (representative of Portuguese Family Businesses Association),
- Filomena Pinheiro (representative of Tourism of Center of Portugal),
- Pedro Neto (junior member of Portuguese family business – Quinta Ribeira de Alpreade),
- Amadeu Neto (senior member of Portuguese family business – Quinta Ribeira de Alpreade),
- Paulo Fernandes (mayor of municipality of Fundão),
- Catarina Alves (expert on Family Business Succession).

Lastly, a cocktail was carried out to order to promote the networking purposes among the companies and participants of our Final Dissemination Event.
