Today, on Earth Day, we are reminded of the vital importance of protecting our environment and the role we all play in shaping a sustainable future. Education is one of the most powerful tools we have to inspire awareness, responsibility, and action.

The mission of the Eco Schools highlights exactly this connection -empowering students and teachers to engage with real environmental challenges and become active agents of change.

As part of our transnational project activities, our team participated in a productive and inspiring meeting hosted by Lycée Jean-Pierre Timbaud in Paris 🇫🇷 (31 March-1 April 2026)

The meeting brought together project partners for two days of collaboration, exchange, and co-creation, creating a dynamic environment for sharing ideas and strengthening our joint efforts.

💬 Discussions were highly engaging and focused on upcoming project activities, brainstorming on how trainings will be delivered, and the finalisation of educational materials to ensure impactful learning experiences.

🧩 Interactive workshops introduced the Climate Fresk approach, allowing participants to explore how this methodology can be applied to design more participatory and engaging climate education activities.

A special highlight was the contribution of the school’s “Eco-Schools Delegates” team of students, who presented their actions and shared their participation in national competitions, showcasing their active role in climate education and sustainability.

Limassol Carnival: Fun vs. Waste 🎭🥁⚡️

Every year, Limassol’s Carnival in Cyprus brings incredible energy, color, and creativity - but it also leaves behind 40+ tonnes of trash. Most of it isn’t recycled, which shows a bigger problem: how we celebrate vs. how we care for our environment.

It makes you think… can we keep traditions alive without harming the planet?

🎯Maybe this year: reusable products, less single-use stuff, and more awareness. Celebration and responsibility can go hand in hand 🌱💡

What ideas do you have to make our carnival cleaner?

EcoSchools - Treasure Hunt | Genially The Amazon Rainforest is known as the "lungs of the Earth" because it produces oxygen and absorbs carbon dioxide at an incredible rate.

From classrooms to communities, young minds are shaping a greener, more peaceful world through science. 🌎💡

Across Greece, Cyprus & France, 88 students and 84 teachers shared their views on sustainability, and the results are inspiring!

✅ Most teachers feel confident integrating sustainability
✅ 80%+ of students recycle & care deeply about the environment
⚠️ But challenges remain: limited time, resources & school support
