M6_Towards the Final Design
M6_Towards the Final Design The departure point of the project is to create an interactive installation, that would have a certain behavior that would vary depending on external factors like the distance of the viewer or the intensity of sunlight. Each group conduced a series of explorations, in order to further investigate the properties of the materials. The decision was met to combine the electroluminescent foils and the Dye sensitized solar cells in an origami based surface, while the bioplastic group would develop the structural system of the installation.

Pneumatic Living Unit
Pneumatic Living Unit Design ideas for an architecture that is as variable as a cloud. Pneumatic construction permits changes in volume due to a new building element: air. And the new forms influence - supported through projections of color, sound, and fragrance - the quality of experience within the spaces. The pneumatic prototype is composed of three spaces. The pulsating space with the revolving bed, projections, and sound programs. [ 57 more words. ]

THE RELIGION OF RESILIENCE
THE RELIGION OF RESILIENCE t’s 2080, a world deep in the throes of a changing climate where a landscape’s fertility is analyzed by mammoth structures that roam the Great Plains. It may seem like a scene from a sci-fi novel, but it is actually the basis for Reid Fellenbaum’s “Meridian of Fertility,” winner of the 2014 ASLA Student Award of Excellence in Analysis and Planning, which examines historical practices, climate models, projected precipitation, temperature, and current soil quality of the Great Plains region and suggests that the “Meridian of Fertility,” a geographical dividing line between prairie lands to the west and areas suitable for agricultural practices to the east, is steadily moving eastward.

Implant Matrix
Implant Matrix Implant Matrix, we read, is "an interactive geotextile that could be used for reinforcing landscapes and buildings of the future." It is a responsive latticework that, installed beneath soil, would act as a kind of a terrestrial prosthesis, a local replacement for the earth's surface. An earth surface machine.
