History made! 👩🚀🇦🇺
Overnight, Katherine Bennell-Pegg became the first qualified astronaut under the Australian flag.
After 13 months of training with ESA - European Space Agency in Germany, Katherine graduated alongside the Class of 2022, nicknamed "The Hoppers" - a reference to "hopping" back and forth between different classrooms during their training.
“When I dreamed of becoming an astronaut as a child, I never thought it possible to do so representing Australia. It's an honour to be graduating as an astronaut with the Australian flag on my shoulder,” says Katherine.
Congratulations Katherine, we are so proud of you!

Excellent news! 👏 Degrees from 45 Australian universities are now recognised in Greece - with a very simple and straightforward process! 🇦🇺🇬🇷 🎓
Greece has passed law 4957/2022 making the process for the recognition of degrees from universities in its National Register of Recognised Foreign Universities much more straightforward. Holders of a Bachelor's Degree (minimum duration of 3 years), a Master's Degree (minimum duration of 1 year), a Juris Doctor or a PhD from the 45 Australian universities in the list can now expect to be granted academic equivalence in 60 days from the day of application to DOATAP (Hellenic National Academic Recognition and Information Centre) 👉 https://www.doatap.gr/.
The almost automatic recognition of Australian university degrees is a very important step that will foster job mobility, knowledge transfer and closer people-to-people links between Australia and Greece! 🇦🇺🇬🇷❤️
