Doumag Limited is a company, with a main objective the Consultancy Services, which are developed and documented via scientific practices that combine:

Doumag is a Project-based company in which the majority of "products" are made against bespoke designs for customers. Doumag is making products for external customers, or subsidiaries of larger firms,

producing for internal or external customers. Doumag as a Project-based company are often involved in several projects simultaneously. The company as an organization with an identity is permanent, but its mode of "production" is dominated by projects. Doumag's project teams are groups of people working together for a common goal. These share responsibility and resources to achieve their collective missions: problem solving and decision making. Doumag's project teams thus typically enjoy a considerable amount of autonomy within the limits set. The success of Doumag is governed by their project teams abilities to manage knowledge assets that can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of projects management. Knowledge management is today an integral feature of Doumag that exploit their knowledge human resources to generate superior performance. Leonardo da Vinci Partnership Program Approval
For the year 2012-2013 under the framework of Lifelong Learning and especially Leonardo da Vinci Partnerships, one project of DOUMAG was succesfully approved by the Foundation for the Management of European Lifelong Programmes (IDEP).

The title of the project is:

Enrich vocational training through unconventional methods in the EU countries

New EU Programs
For the year 2012-2013 under the framework of Lifelong Learning and especially Leonardo da Vinci program, two projects of DOUMAG were succesfully approved in the action PLM (People in Labour Market) by the Foundation for the Management of European Lifelong Programmes (IDEP).

The titles of the projects are:

Planning and designing of urban spaces
Application of geographic information systems (GIS) in environmental management

1st EU Business Forum on Vocational Training
DOUMAG participated with one member in the first European Business Forum on Vocational Training entitled "Challenges and trends in skills and career development of the European workforce”, which was held in Brussels from 7 to 8 of June 2012.

The forum was organised by DG Education and Culture of the European Commission, and was intended for companies, HR experts, researchers, providers of vocational training, national and EU policy makers, business associations, sector organisations and other stakeholders.

It's aim was to explore companies' approaches to skills development of both adult workers and young people, based on a survey of companies carried out specifically for the event.

Planning and Designing of Urban Spaces

This project involves the training and re-training of engineers in issues of urban environmental planning and the searching of ways of business development and networking as they would result from entrepreneurship visits and seminars that will be organized in the context of mobility. This project aims to fill the gap both in the undergraduate studies and in the acquisition of expertise and awareness-training of those interested in this field. The project is moving towards supporting employability and strengthening the working relationship of the participants in the companies where they are employed. Also, by using the acquired skills of trainees and by their participation in this project, they will gain an extra qualification facing the unemployment in their field which is a consequence of the economic crisis and the great decline of the economic activities. Participation in the project of engineers who are involved in the urban planning, will enable trainees to create "cores" of cooperation and partnership business, aiming both at providing better but mainly specialized services and at highlighting and contributing to the creation of a comprehensive plan management of the urban ecosystem by setting in the center the man and the environment.

Main objectives and expected outcomes of the program is:
-Training of young engineers in environmental planning and the opportunities it gives in their field
-Energy saving and environmental protection
-Knowledge-sharing among European young engineers and specialized scientists
-Education and certification of new engineers in software packages specialized in environmental planning
-Creation of a skilled workforce of engineers who will respond successfully to the new "challenges" and data
-Acquisition of specialized expertise through education of young engineers with visits and placements in such projects.

The host organization will be IAAC in Barcelona, where young engineers from all over Cyprus, will go for two weeks.
