May was a month full of music at our school! 🎼🎵

We were delighted to welcome families to our annual "Meet the Instruments" Open Day, a special event designed to introduce children and parents to the exciting world of instrumental music. 🎻🎹🥁

Throughout the evening, families had the opportunity to explore a wide range of instruments, including piano, violin, cello, drums, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass and ukulele, meet our dedicated instrumental teachers, enjoy live performances, and learn more about the musical opportunities available through our Afterschool Instrumental Programme. 🎸🥁🎵

It was wonderful to see so many enthusiastic children and parents discovering new instruments, asking questions, and taking the first steps on their musical journey. 🌟😊
A big thank you to our instrumental teaching team for their inspiring performances and support, and to all the families who joined us. We look forward to welcoming many new young musicians to our programme next year! 👏👩‍🏫

🎨✨ Year 3 Art Adventure! ✨🎨

As part of our Year 3 Art curriculum, our students visited the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Nicosia to deepen their understanding of art elements, mediums, tools, and techniques explored throughout the year. During their visit, they took part in the exciting program “Body, Nature, Imagination: Exploring the Cypriot Landscape.” 🎨⛰️🇨🇾🌿

Through this hands-on experience, students discovered the works and artistic approaches of over 50 iconic and contemporary Cypriot artists. Through play, creativity, and collaboration, they: 🖼️✨

* Explored the connection between their bodies and the natural world 🌱
* Experiment with design and artistic expression 🎨
* Shared ideas, built hypotheses, and created their own imaginative stories💡

We were also delighted to welcome Mr. Taliotis, an artist and parent from our school community, who joined us and engaged with the students throughout this inspiring educational tour. 👨‍🎨💬🎨

The students thoroughly enjoyed this enriching and creative experience! 😊🌈

Year 6 Students’ Success at the Pancyprian Water Polo U12 Cup and the Play-Offs of the Pancyprian Water Polo U12 Championship 🏅🤽‍♂️

We are proud to share that, building on last year’s outstanding double triumph, when they were crowned Champions and Cup winners in both competitions, our Year 6 students – Stephanos, Maximos and Demetris – and their team have continued their impressive run of success by securing 2nd place in both events this year. 🥈

This achievement marks a second consecutive year of outstanding performances at the highest level of youth water polo in Cyprus 🇨🇾. 🌟 🤽‍♂️

The boys were part of the APOEL U12 team that secured 2nd place in the U12 category of both the Pancyprian Water Polo Championship and the Pancyprian Water Polo Cup, held over the weekend of June 6–7. 🏆 💙💛

Well done to all the boys for their dedication, hard work, teamwork and excellent achievement! We wish them continued success in the future! 🚀🏆💦

We are incredibly proud to celebrate one more sports achievement! Maya claimed the gold medal in the 600m at the Pancyprian Athletics Championships, organised by ΚΟΕΑΣ under the auspices of ΕΣΥΑΑ — the most prestigious school athletics competition on the island, bringing together the very best young track and field athletes from across Cyprus.🎉

Winning gold at a Pancyprian level means standing at the top among all student competitors island-wide — a truly outstanding accomplishment. 🏃‍🤩

Maya, your dedication, hard work, and passion for athletics have paid off in the most brilliant way. This gold medal is a reflection of everything you have put into your training. We couldn't be prouder! 💚

Y2 welcomes a visit from the traffic police… 🚦

On Tuesday morning Y2 had a special assembly on traffic safety. 👮‍♀️ 🚸 As part of their PSHE curriculum, they were visited by a local policewoman who came to discuss how we can all be safe on the road. 🚗🛑🚶‍♂️She shared an interesting presentation on road safety, and the children were given the opportunity to ask questions as well as experiment crossing the street safely. 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️

A fun learning experience was had by all! 😊

Outstanding Athletics Achievement — Congratulations Chryssie! 🥇

We are so proud of our student Chryssie, who finished 1st in High Jump at the Pancyprian Athletics Competition for Elementary Schools, held on 5th June at the Tsirio Stadium in Limassol! 🔥⭐

This is one of the most prestigious events in the school athletics calendar — a national competition held once a year, bringing together the top young athletes from across Cyprus. To even qualify, children must first compete in their District Athletics Competition and finish in the top 4 in their event — a challenge in itself. 💪

Chryssie did exactly that, winning 1st place at the District Competition before going on to claim the top spot at the national level, competing in the High Jump for children born in 2017. This is a competition that athletes train for all year long, and her gold-place finish is a reflection of her talent, hard work, and determination. 🎉🎯

Chryssie, we are incredibly proud of you! 💚
