EU student funding continued for 2020/21 Speaking in Brussels today, the Universities Minister announced that EU students starting courses in 2020/21 will have guaranteed home fee status.

Congratulations to Paris Avgoustou, a former student on this course, on successful completion of his PhD titled ‘Developing small molecule antagonists against AM2 receptor for the treatment of pancreatic cancer’. After completing the MSc(Res) in Translational Oncology Paris worked as a technician in the lab of Prof Tim Skerry here in Sheffield and completed his PhD at the same time as working. He is now working as a research associate in the department of Oncology and Metabolism.
