After recently participating in a training course abroad through our Erasmus Accreditation in Adult Education programme, she returned with valuable insights and practical tools to help our staff navigate the rapidly evolving world of Artificial Intelligence in education 🤖

Last week, we hosted a teacher training seminar in Cyprus on gamification and digital tools in education. With the guidance of the expert trainer Andreea Breaz of the Gutenberg Language Center, our teachers explored creative ways to make learning more interactive, fun, and engaging for students 🚀

As an accredited organization by the Cyprus National Agency for Erasmus+ initiatives, we are committed to continuously invest in staff development opportunities in Cyprus and abroad, expanding both our knowledge and the impact of our work 💡

Last week, we had the incredible opportunity to take part in From Rural to Plural 3.0, a partnership-building activity focused on empowering rural youth across Europe organized by Active Development Association and Go Free Association 🌱

From March 23rd to April 1st, we gathered in the beautiful village of Șimon, Romania, where we connected with inspiring organizations and NGOs working in rural areas. Throughout the activity, we explored the realities of rural youth in Europe, their needs, challenges, and aspirations while exchanging ideas, experiences, and good practices.

Beyond the learning, this experience allowed us to build meaningful connections, strengthen collaboration, and grow a shared vision for more inclusive and vibrant rural communities.

We’re grateful for the connections made, the knowledge gained, and the motivation to keep supporting rural youth across Europe 💚

Save the Bee-Box is a noteworthy Erasmus+ initiative with M.V Bee Training Center, developed in collaboration with a strong partnership from Cyprus and Greece. Follow the page for updates and insights into the vital role of bees in our ecosystem! 🐝

Today, our partnership had a productive online meeting for the Save the Bee Box project! 💻✨ We discussed the first steps of the initiative, focusing especially on Activity 3: the development of the interactive games that will go into the Bee Box. 🎲

These games will be a key educational tool to help VET students learn about the vital role of bees in our ecosystems, food production, and sustainable agriculture. 🍯🌸

We’re excited to see these ideas take shape and can’t wait to share more updates soon! 🌱🐝

Σήμερα, η σύμπραξή μας πραγματοποίησε μια παραγωγική διαδικτυακή συνάντηση για το έργο Save the Bee Box! 💻🐝

Συζητήσαμε τα πρώτα βήματα της πρωτοβουλίας, εστιάζοντας ιδιαίτερα στην Δραστηριότητα 3: την ανάπτυξη των διαδραστικών παιχνιδιών που θα περιλαμβάνονται στο Bee-Box. 🎲

Αυτά τα παιχνίδια θα αποτελέσουν ένα σημαντικό εκπαιδευτικό εργαλείο, βοηθώντας τους μαθητές ΕΕΚ να μάθουν για τον καίριο ρόλο των μελισσών στα οικοσυστήματά μας, στην παραγωγή τροφίμων και στη βιώσιμη γεωργία. 🍯🌸

Survive and Live Project Updates 📣

🎯 The next major step in the project is developing the learning materials for refugee students, as well as guidance tools and lesson plans for their teachers!

📄 What comes next? Each partner will now begin working on the materials for the lessons and teacher lesson plans. These resources will form the core of the Survive and Live project.

💬 Just like in every stage of our work, our goal remains the same: to keep the needs of both learners and teachers at the heart of the process. By building materials that reflect their day to day experiences, we aim to empower communication and support smoother integration into daily life in Cyprus and Greece

Iphigenia Centre for Hellenic Studies

Between 22–24 September, Mikaela Michaelidou, the Project Manager of our organisation, participated in the TCA “Erasmus+ Small-Scale Partnerships (KA2): Inclusion & Diversity Contact Making Seminar” in Dublin.

Organised by the Irish Erasmus+ National Agency Léargas, the seminar brought together professionals from across the school, adult education, VET, and youth sectors with a shared focus on developing projects aligned to the Erasmus+ Priority Inclusion and Diversity.

It was great platform to connect with potential partners, explore best practices, and gain deeper insight into designing high-quality, inclusive and impactful Erasmus+ project applications. It wasn’t just about theory but actively contributed to discussions,and began sketching out ideas for potential future collaborations.

A huge thanks to Léargas and Foundation for the Management of European Lifelong Learning Programmes for the opportunity.

Project Updates!

As part of the Survive and Live project, we conducted a needs assessment through focus groups and interviews to identify the needs and challenges faced by migrant and refugee students, as well as educators.

The report, based on the collected data, highlights the specific needs of refugee and migrant students, which include language support, access to technology, and the cultural barriers they encounter. Additionally, the report reflects the perspectives of teachers, discussing potential stereotypes, practical challenges, unmet needs, and suggested solutions.

The initiative actively involves both teachers and refugee students from the outset and has produced this insightful report.

Survive and Live is an initiative coordinated by C.F. ELITE TUTORS LTD (Cyprus) in partnership with the Iphigenia Centre for Hellenic Studies(Greece) and Generation for Change CY (Cyprus).

🌟 Learning a new language should feel like play. That’s what Greek Lingo Box is all about. 🎲📚

Our project Greek Lingo Box , funded by the EU under the Erasmus+ Programme, is creating 20 innovative board games to help refugees and migrants in Cyprus and Greece learn Greek in a fun, face-to-face, and culturally meaningful way.

And research proves we’re on the right path:

A systematic review by Michigan State University (Poole, 2025) found that board games help learners improve vocabulary, grammar, and communication skills, while increasing motivation and reducing classroom anxiety.

A study from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2023) showed that displaced youth learning Greek through specially designed board games became more engaged, more confident, and more collaborative.

Even Harvard University has highlighted how narrative and role-play games in the classroom can transform language practice into immersive, low-pressure, and highly effective learning experiences.

👉With Greek Lingo Box, research becomes reality: every game is designed to break language barriers, encourage cultural exchange, and turn language learning into a playful journey of connection, confidence, and belonging.
