Donating School Supplies: The Pancyprian Volunteerism Coordinative Council(PVCC) is collecting stationery and all school-related supplies in their effort to support students from vulnerable families have a better start to the new academic year. We can all help by donating the gently used items we no longer need, either while cleaning out our lockers or bringing to school unused items from home. Alternatively, we can donate new items, vouchers, or, any of the items listed on the attached poster. There are designated areas in the main building and at the picnic tables where you can drop off your donations. Buddies Without Borders club members will be sorting out all supplies and delivering them to PVCC before the end of the school year. Thank you for supporting this campaign! Every little help! Going from June 15th to June 19th.

Our talented 3rd graders, for our summer unit, took a deep dive into the ocean this week! They’ve been learning all about one-point perspective to create these incredible underwater aquarium tunnels. Look at that amazing depth! From the checkered pathways to the swimming sea turtles, jellyfish, and schools of fish, they did an absolute fin-tastic job bringing their ocean views to life. We definitely have some future architects and marine biologists in our midst!

AISC Global Citizenship Debating Club HS Grades 9–11
What a fantastic debate this week in our Global Citizenship Debating Club! Students tackled the challenging resolution: "Be it resolved that society requires numerical language for its development and functioning."
The discussion was lively, thoughtful, and full of insightful ideas as students explored whether numbers are essential to communication, trade, science, and the way societies function. It was wonderful to see students confidently share their perspectives, challenge one another's ideas, and think deeply about a complex question that connects Mathematics, TOK, Social Studies, and English.
We are incredibly proud of the curiosity and enthusiasm our students brought to the debate. It was a truly engaging afternoon and a wonderful reminder of how thoughtful, articulate, and intellectually curious our students are.
Thank you, Global Citizenship Club Debating Team!

Grade 4 kicked off our end of year elementary publishing parties this week! They invited their families in to read their autobiographies, opinion essays- Are Zoos Harmful or Beneficial?, modern fantasy stories based on the works of Chris Van Allsburg, and informational writing projects with accompanying 3D representations of the Jamestown Fort. We are so proud of our wonderful writers!
