Ceramics at aigaia

Learning to work with clay, to understand form, volume and surface, and to see an idea slowly take shape through your hands.

From handbuilding and wheel throwing to experimenting with texture, colour and glazes, there’s always something new to try and have fun during the process.

For all ages and levels, from first encounters with clay to more developed studio practice.

Painting and Drawing at aigaia

Learning to look, to experiment with materials, to understand colour, line and composition, and slowly finding your own way of putting an idea onto a surface.

Sometimes it starts with observation, sometimes with an image or an idea. A supporting space to build skills, try different approaches, change direction and develop a visual language that feels like your own.

For all ages and levels, from first steps to more developed studio practice.

Today!

Aigaia presents the group exhibition Opening Point, featuring works by creatives of different ages and levels of study, highlighting their individual journeys and development at the school.

The exhibition brings together students from Aigaia’s tertiary education programmes alongside creatives from different educational programmes offered by the school, presenting works that have emerged through diverse experiences, interests and creative explorations.

The coexistence of different practices creates a shared space where different starting points meet and evolve through the creative process. Opening Point marks a new beginning, a moment where experience, learning and experimentation come together with new ideas, directions and possibilities.

A few moments from our seminar and workshop with Diana-AmacoWorkshops Faris from AMACO!

Looking at the new AMACO glazes and ceramic printing inks, trying them out, and seeing how they behave on different surfaces and combinations.

A day in the school with plenty to look at, test and take back to the studio.
