🌍💧 Join the ESDC Pilot Course on Hydrodiplomacy!
Don’t miss the opportunity to participate in the ESDC pilot Course: “Hydrodiplomacy: a tool for climate and environmental resilience, peace, and security” taking place in Nicosia, Cyprus, from 19-23 October 2026.
This is a landmark event organized by The Cyprus Security and Defence Academy and The Cyprus Institute, in cooperation with the University of Balamand - UOB and its Climate Diplomacy & Sustainable Peace Hub, under the auspices of the European Security and Defence College (ESDC).
This 5-day course (including an e-learning component and residential training) explores the critical role of water security in the context of climate change, environmental degradation, and international security. It focuses on how hydrodiplomacy can contribute to conflict prevention, environmental peacebuilding, and regional cooperation.
The course aims to strengthen capacities of EU and international practitioners working on climate security, resilience, and sustainable development, while fostering collaboration and policy-relevant dialogue.
