Founded in Prague in 1929, Union Internationale de la Marionnette (UNIMA) is a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) and an official partner of UNESCO (consultation). The function of Cyprus UNIMA National Centre is to develop links between puppeteers of Cyprus and to maintain a permanent link with the General secretary. UNIMA aims to:

The International Puppets Festival (Lugano, Switzerland) will run this year for the 36th edition, from october 13th to november 4th.

The Arlyn Award for Outstanding Design in Puppet Theatre is sponsoring “The (early) 21st Century Puppet”, a new photographic book of contemporary puppets. We invite puppeteers around the world to submit a photographic portrait of a puppet created since 2000.
