Are you between 18-30 years old and passionate about early childhood education? Here's an exciting opportunity to join our European Solidarity Corps (ESC) Project in 2025!

Colours is a daycare for children aged 0-3 with a team of dedicated childcare educators based in Nicosia, Cyprus. We believe that learning is an exciting journey that begins at birth.

Our mission is to nurture the body, develop the mind, and inspire the soul of every child we serve.

We are looking for 5 motivated individuals (including those with fewer opportunities) currently living outside Cyprus but within the EU to join us for a learning and fun experience lasting up to 10 to 12 months. As a volunteer, you will assist our teachers in planning learning activities, setting up learning stations, implementing play and learning activities, and assisting with our digital marketing and communications. Participants can start their volunteering between August 2025 and early September 2025.

- Fully furnished accommodation with private bedrooms

At Colours Daycare, since September we have been hosting three passionate volunteers for 12 months, offering valuable experiences and training as to the responsibilities and duties of an assistant teacher.

This year, for the first time, we walked our two older classrooms to the park behind the school as part of an emergency evacuation drill.

Thanks to our volunteers, we ensured proper supervision both during the outing and at the school for the remaining children. They experienced the emergency evacuation process firsthand, and the children absolutely loved the walk to the park!

The volunteering opportunity is funded under the European Solidarity Corps program which is coordinated by ΙΔΕΠ Διά Βίου Μάθησης Erasmus+ Cyprus which is the national agency in Cyprus.

We believe in the power of play-based learning, focusing on developmental play, free play, and sensory play to foster growth and development in our children. At Colours Daycare, we believe in learning through play!
Over the past three weeks, our children have really enjoyed cardboard box play. From building and knocking them over to painting and decorating, the fun was endless. This simple activity not only sparked their creativity but also enhanced their motor skills, problem-solving abilities, and sensory experiences.
It's amazing how much learning happens when you play!
