Due to the current situation, Talk the talk is going online with a twist ⚡

We come together virtually, once a week to talk about different topics that are interesting and get us thinking.

To support my lovely students I will create online interactive quizzes and presentations of grammar & vocabulary that they can use in our conversation.

This will help students feel more comfortable expressing their ideas & opinions in a safe and casual environment 🫂

Thank you for joining and sharing your ideas!

We always start with a warm-up activity to introduce the topic and move on to question cards.
However, I can't predict the direction the conversation will take, which is what makes this process so interesting and rewarding!

We make a note of useful vocabulary that comes up as we discuss our ideas and I provide examples and language input to help with the development of language skills.

How to acknowledge others during a conversation!

Acknowledging means showing that you are actively listening to other speakers and showing interest in what they are saying.
This helps keep a conversation going!

🗨Example 1:
A: I finally went to that Italian restaurant you recommended...
B: Really?!
A:...and I was not disappointed!!

🗨Example 2:
A: After I left the house yesterday, I realised I had left my keys inside!
B: No way!!
A: Yes! I had to climb in through the window and that's how I hurt my back!
B: That's terrible!
