On the 18th October 2023, a networking and dissemination event took place, connecting international organisations that actively work with Professional Learning Communities (PLCs). Participants included the University of Málaga, University of Education Weingarten (Pädagogische Hochschule Weingarten), University of Education Vorarlberg (PH Vorarlberg),Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU - Norges teknisk-naturvitenskapelige universitet),the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Αριστοτέλειο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλονίκης),Marbella-Coín Teacher Center (Centro del Profesorado Marbella-Coín) and Malaga Teacher Center (Centro de Profesorado de Malaga). The European University Cyprus and the Pedagogical Institute (Παιδαγωγικό Ινστιτούτο Κύπρου) presented the work of the project,leading to insightful discussions and a fruitful exchange of perspectives from different organisations.

On the 17th October 2023 PLCs for us held a session at the focused on the work carried out by our faculty's Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) during the academic year 2002-2023.

The 4 coordinators of faculty PLCs Prof.Katerina Kavvadia, Dr. Louiza Voniati, Dr. Chrystalla Papademitri-Kachrimani, and Dr. Eleni Moushi provided insightful presentations about the work of their groups. More than 35 faculty from all the schools of the University participated. The event was organized by the Office of the Vice Rector of Academic Affairs Loizos Symeou who shared insightful remarks. Prof.Loucas Louca coordinated the event.

‘’An Investigation of the Introduction Faculty Professional Learning Communities in Higher Education’’

📍 Paper presented by Dr. Loucas Louca under the Symposium: Studying Professional Learning Communities of pre-service teachers, principals & university faculty.

🇬🇷 The Conference, hosted by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki, and took place in Thessaloniki from 22nd to 26th August 2023.

➡️ Σκοπός της ομάδας εστίασης ήταν η συλλογή δεδομένων που σχετίζονται με τις ανάγκες και πιθανές καλές πρακτικές επαγγελματικών κοινοτήτων μάθησης ακαδημαϊκών, ως μία μορφή επαγγελματικής ανάπτυξης ακαδημαϊκών εντός του Πανεπιστήμιου.
