Our explorers have been discovering the wonderful world of jungle animals! Throughout the week, the children learned fascinating facts about a variety of animals, discussing their habitats, diets, features, and how they survive in the wild. From mighty lions and playful monkeys to towering giraffes and gentle elephants, there was so much to discover. To bring their learning to life, the children worked together to create a large giraffe using recycled materials. This collaborative project encouraged creativity, teamwork, and an understanding of how everyday materials can be reused in imaginative ways. What a fantastic combination of animal exploration as well as environmental awareness learning!

In Home Economics, our children are encouraged to take part in simple daily activities that help them care for themselves and their environment, like washing and drying their own clothes. π§ΊβοΈ
The goal is not perfection. Clothes may be folded differently, pegs may end up in the wrong place, and that is all part of the learning process. What truly matters is giving children the opportunity to participate, try independently, and feel proud of contributing in meaningful ways. π
These small responsibilities help children build confidence, independence, coordination, and a sense of belonging. Through practical experiences, they begin to understand that they are capable, helpful, and an important part of both the classroom and home environment.

Shapes, Culture & Creativity π¨πΊπ¦
This week in mathematics, our students explored the world of shapes through the inspiring artwork of Pablo Picasso. Using triangles, circles, rectangles, and squares, the children created unique Picasso-inspired faces that celebrated both creativity and individuality.
As part of our Cultural Diversity theme, we discussed how every person is different and how those differences make our world beautiful. Just like Picassoβs art, each masterpiece was wonderfully unique, showing that there is no single way to create, think, or express ourselves. ππ

Our children loved exploring the story Handaβs Surprise by Eileen Browne. Through sensory play, creative artwork, and group discussions, the children explored the events in the story and talked about the different characters. The story also gave us a wonderful opportunity to learn about diversity and culture. The children noticed similarities and differences between themselves and the children in the book, including clothing, hairstyles, food, and traditions. These conversations encouraged curiosity, respect, and appreciation for people and cultures around the world. πβ€οΈ The children especially loved exploring the different fruits from the story and bringing Handaβs journey to life through imaginative play and art activities. πππ
