This week, our Butterflies 🦋 discovered that even the fastest cheetah can learn the power of slowing down.
After reading Cheetah’s story, we talked about how pausing before we act helps us make kind, thoughtful choices. We learned that our actions affect the people around us, that good friends help us grow from our mistakes, and that wise choices build strong, happy friendships.

To celebrate their learning, our Butterflies created their own “Cheetah’s Good Choices” posters, sharing one kind and thoughtful choice they made this week. 💛 We are so proud of the empathy, self-awareness, and kindness they are showing every day!

✨ Pause. Think. Choose kindness.

✨ Once Upon a Storytime… ✨ Ladybirds Class🐞

Whatever the adventure, we’ll always have each other. 💛
Our little storytellers were swept away into a magical world filled with dragons, unicorns, giants, and beasts. 🐉🦄✨
The children designed their very own unicorns, then used scissors, glue, and plenty of imagination to create their own puppets. 🌈✂️🎨

Today in Fireflies Class, the children enjoyed reading The Smartest Giant in Town by Julia Donaldson. The story inspired lots of creativity as the children explored one of the story’s animal characters by creating their very own giraffes. Using paint, they carefully recreated the giraffe’s beautiful patterns before decorating their creations with colourful yarn to add texture and detail.

This engaging activity encouraged creativity, strengthened fine motor skills through painting and threading, and supported the children’s listening, imagination, and language development as they discussed the story and its characters. It was a wonderful way to bring the story to life through hands-on learning and artistic expression📚🩵

Butterflies listened to the story Jack and the Flumflum Tree and then completed a creative art activity inspired by the book. Using paint, crayons, and collage materials such as tissue paper, they designed and decorated their own trees, exploring different textures and colours.

This activity encouraged:

* Creativity and self-expression through art.
* Fine motor skills by painting, colouring, and gluing materials.
* Listening and comprehension by connecting the artwork to the story.
* Language development through discussions about the characters, setting, and events in the book.
* Imagination as children interpreted the story in their own unique way.

The activity provided an enjoyable opportunity to combine literacy with hands-on creative learning while developing key early childhood skills.
