Με βαθιά συγκίνηση και ευγνωμοσύνη μοιράζομαι ότι προκρίθηκα στους τελικούς των Pearson International School Teacher Awards 2026, ως μία από τις δύο φιναλίστ της Ευρώπης στην κατηγορία Leader of the Year.
Όμως αυτή η διάκριση δεν ανήκει μόνο σε μένα. Ανήκει σε κάθε μαθητή, εκπαιδευτικό, συνεργάτη, γονέα και μέλος της οικογένειάς μου που συνόδευσε το ταξίδι μου τα τελευταία 37 χρόνια.

Πάντα πίστευα ότι «ένας ηγέτης μπορεί να ηγηθεί μόνο μέσα από το παράδειγμά του». Αν κάτι γιορτάζω σήμερα, είναι οι σχέσεις που χτίστηκαν, οι ζωές που συναντήθηκαν και η κοινή μας προσπάθεια να κάνουμε την εκπαίδευση πηγή έμπνευσης, εξέλιξης και ελπίδας.

Η διάκριση αυτή είναι αφιερωμένη σε όλους εσάς. ❤️

Honoured and humbled to have made it through to the finals of the 2026 Pearson International School Teacher Awards as one of the two Europe Regional Finalists in the Leader of the Year category.

My sincere thanks to Pearson for this empowering initiative that celebrates and honours educators around the world, and to my extraordinary colleagues and the entire XTMPI family for nominating me.

Whatever I have achieved over the past 37 years has been possible because of the remarkable students, teachers, leaders, colleagues, and family members I have been blessed to learn from, work alongside, and serve. This recognition belongs to all of you!

Ενός λεπτού σιγή για την μάνα εκείνη που αυτή την στιγμή κοιμάται στον μπλε και σκληρό καναπέ της ογκολογικης μονάδας και αντί για τον χτυπο του ρολογιού μετράει τις ανάσες του παιδιού της.

Ενός λεπτού σιγή για την μάνα εκείνη που ξεροσταλιαζει έξω απο την εντατική για να δει έστω και για 2 ώρες το παιδί της,να το χαιδεψει κάτω απο τα σωληνάκια και να προσευχηθει ,να στραγγιξει μπροστά απο το εικόνισμα της Παναγιάς .

Ενός λεπτού σιγή για την μάνα εκείνη που νοσεί απο καρκίνο αλλά τον πόνο της τον κάνει αόρατο για χάρη των παιδιών της.

Ενός λεπτού σιγή για την μάνα εκείνη που απογυμνωνεται,στερείται αυτή για να έχουν τα πάντα τα παιδιά της.

Ενός λεπτού σιγή για την μάνα εκείνη που περιμένει έναν γιό να γυρίσει απο τον πόλεμο .

Ενός λεπτού σιγή για την μάνα εκείνη που το παιδί της είναι αυτιστικό ή έχει σύνδρομο down και κάθε μέρα το πιάνει απο το χέρι και μπαίνουν σε έναν μαγικό κόσμο, έναν κόσμο που μόνο μια μαμά με το παιδί της έχουν καταδικο τους.

Ενός λεπτού σιγή για την μάνα εκείνη που ακρωτηριαστηκε,έχασε ένα κομμάτι απο την καρδιά της ,το παιδι της και προσπαθεί όχι να ξεχάσει μα να αναπαριστά κάθε δευτερόλεπτο της μέρας τις εικόνες τους,τα λόγια τους,τις αγκαλιές τους,τις μυρωδιές τους,τα τραγούδια τους, γιατί ξέρει οτι όλα αυτά είναι ο φάρος της που αν σβήσει το φως του, θα χαθεί .

Ενός λεπτού σιγή για την γυναίκα εκείνη που προσπαθεί να γίνει μάνα και δυσκολεύεται .

Ενός λεπτού σιγή για την μάνα εκείνη που προσπαθεί να τα βγάλει πέρα μόνη της και να μεγαλώσει τα παιδιά της.

Ενός λεπτού σιγή για όλες τις μάνες του κόσμου .

Ενός λεπτού σιγή για την ΜΑΝΑ που είναι ΝΑΜΑ δηλαδή το νερό της πηγής, σε αυτήν υποκλίνομαι !
