Call for Full Papers – Mediterranean Botany Special Issue

Following the successful completion of the 5th Mediterranean Plant Conservation Week, held in April 2025 in Limassol, Cyprus, we are pleased to announce a Special Issue of the journal Mediterranean Botany entitled:

“Building alliances for plant conservation in the Mediterranean”

Who can submit?
Contributions from 5MPCW presenters and participants are especially encouraged. Submissions are also welcome from other researchers working on relevant topics within the scope of the Special Issue.

Important dates
Submission period: 15 January – 30 April 2026
Expected online publication: from October 2026

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I would like to extend our sincere thanks to each of you for your valuable contributions to the 5th Mediterranean Plant Conservation Week. Your participation, presentations, and engagement made this event a great success, and we are truly grateful for the knowledge, insights, and passion you shared.

Certificates of Attendance will be sent to all participants within the next days.

We are currently preparing a freely accessible online archive of the conference:

- If you presented a poster, please let us know by April 24 if you do not wish your poster to be included on the conference website. If we do not receive a negative response by this date, we will assume you agree to have your poster published online for public access.

- If you gave an oral presentation and would like it to be made available on the website, kindly email us a PDF version of your presentation (with any amendments you wish to make) at your earliest convenience.

Additionally, we will soon notify all participants about the possibility of submitting their 5MPCW contributions to a special issue of Mediterranean Botany Journal. We encourage you to consider this opportunity to share your work with a wider audience.
