Our CII students Xristos Karayiannis and Damianos Koliandris recently completed the executive and continuing professional education course entitled Comprehensive Industrial Hygiene: The Application of Basic Principles, July 11–15, 2016 • Boston, MA, USA. A new study published in the journal Nature by the CII along with the Cyprus Institute, the Max Planck Institute for Chemistry and the King Saud University in Saudi Arabia. The study shows that air pollution causes 3.3 million excess premature deaths mainly due to cardiovascular and respiratory diseases worldwide. in Limassol.
The idea is to start the day gathering for a snack among our class only (2010-11). Afterwards, all CII alumni will be invited to join us for an afternoon + dinner altogether.

Congratulations to our CII Alumni, Magdalene Matthews for her recent career accomplishment being selected for a prestigious Mandela Washington Fellowship -- We are proud of you Magdalene!
INTRODUCING LIBERIA'S 2015 MANDELA WASHINGTON FELLOWS
Introducing Magdalene Ayorkor Matthews:
Magdalene Mathews, of Monrovia, holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Health from the Harvard School of Public Health’s Cyprus International Institute. She currently works as Program Manager and Water Quality Specialist for a USAID-funded water infrastructure project in Liberia. Her first book: Rise! Redeeming the Future of Liberia, A Practical Guide to Self-Development received a presidential endorsement as a national resource. Her research interests include sustainable development, exposure assessment and water, sanitation and hygiene issues in Africa. She is a motivational speaker, who holds speaking tours and seminars for young people on SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) analysis and its relevance in career choices, among others.
Magdelene will be participating in Public Management at Florida International University.
