As always, the talks were followed by our networking gathering at the Library Bar, a warm space for conversation, meeting the speakers, and connecting with fellow creatives. The panel discussion at the ProtoType 3: Art & Design Conference brought together inspiring voices from across the creative world. Ideas flowed freely, perspectives sparked new thoughts, and the conversation went beyond design into stories, experiences, and the future of the field. It was a space to listen, learn, and connect. And that’s a wrap for the ProtoType 3: Art & Design Conference workshop with Stavros Kypraios ( signstudio). A huge thank you to him for leading the inspiring session “What a Type of Character!” Throughout the workshop we explored character design in a playful and freeing way. Through exercises, experimentation, and improvisation we saw how simple marks can turn into personalities, and how expression and emotion slowly appear through drawing. We allowed ourselves to experiment, to “mess up,” to watch how others interpreted our creations, and to welcome new perspectives. There was no right or wrong, just curiosity, interaction, and fresh inspiration. A warm and creative finish to a workshop that truly celebrated uniqueness and collective imagination.

The coffee break at the ProtoType 3: Art & Design Conference came to a close with the best kind of atmosphere: relaxed, warm and full of conversations.
People gathered, talked, shared ideas and connected over coffee and snacks. Conversations moved from design to everyday life, new faces met familiar ones and the space filled with the kind of energy that only happens when everyone feels comfortable and curious. It was a simple moment but an important one, a chance to slow down, breathe and enjoy the conference community all together. Thank you to everyone for attending!

Το Σάββατο 15 Νοεμβρίου ξεκινά η πρώτη μέρα της διοργάνωσης με επισκόπηση πορτφόλιο (portfolio review) από τον Javier Jaén στις 15:30, στο Αμφιθέατρο 1, κτίριο Τάσσος Παπαδόπουλος. Οι θέσεις είναι περιορισμένες και απαιτείται κράτηση στο https://buytickets.at/o1/1934566

Οι διαλέξεις που ακολουθούν, με ελεύθερη είσοδο, θα γίνουν στον ίδιο χώρο. Το Αμφιθέατρο βρίσκεται στη γωνία Θέμιδος & Ιφιγενείας στη Λεμεσό. Οι πόρτες ανοίγουν στις 16:30 και στις 16:50 θα γίνει η επίσημη έναρξη.

Στις 17:00, ο Σταύρος Κυπραίος από το Faze Design Studio παρουσιάζει την ομιλία “It (isn’t) the end of the world”, για το πώς η τεχνολογία και το AI επηρεάζουν τη δουλειά και την ταυτότητα των δημιουργών, μέσα από παραδείγματα και μελέτες περίπτωσης.

Στις 17:30, ο Κωνσταντίνος Οικονομίδης στην ομιλία “Narratives in Design: Craft, Heritage, and Industrial Production” αναλύει τη σχέση ανάμεσα στην ιδέα, τη χειροτεχνία και τη βιομηχανική παραγωγή, δείχνοντας πώς οι αφηγήσεις γύρω από την πολιτιστική κληρονομιά και τη βιωσιμότητα εμπλουτίζουν τη σύγχρονη σχεδιαστική πράξη.

Στις 18:30, μετά από σύντομο διάλειμμα για καφέ, η Αγγελική Κουτσοδημητροπούλου παρουσιάζει το “Spatial Surrealism: Designing Between the Physical and the Virtual”, εξερευνώντας πώς το φυσικό και το εικονικό συνυπάρχουν και αλληλεπιδρούν.

Στις 19:00, ο Javier Jaén παρουσιάζει το “Ideas to Images”, μοιραζόμενος πώς οι ιδέες μετατρέπονται σε οπτικές μεταφορές μέσα από εξώφυλλα, αφίσες και καμπάνιες. Μετά τις ομιλίες θα ακολουθήσει συζήτηση πάνελ.

Η ημέρα ολοκληρώνεται με networking party στο Library Bar στις 20:30 για χαλαρή ανταλλαγή ιδεών και δημιουργική δικτύωση.

On Sunday 16 November, the programme moves to the Graphic Design Studio of CUT in Heroes Square, where from 12:00 to 15:00 Stavros Kypraios will lead a playful character design workshop celebrating uniqueness, expression, and collective creativity. Through exercises, experimentation, and improvisation, we will explore how our characters acquire personality and emotion. We will allow ourselves to “mess up” and observe how others perceive our creations. We will receive each other’s perspectives and discover new sides of our work. A workshop without “right” and “wrong”, only play, observation, and fresh inspiration. The number of places is limited and requires confirmed booking. Link in bio.

Κυριακή 16 Νοεμβρίου, η δράση μεταφέρεται στο Εργαστήριο Γραφιστικής του ΤΕΠΑΚ στην Πλατεία Ηρώων, όπου από τις 11:00 μέχρι τις 13:00 ο Σταύρος Κυπραίος θα καθοδηγήσει ένα παιχνιδιάρικο workshop character design που γιορτάζει τη μοναδικότητα, την έκφραση, και τη συλλογική δημιουργικότητα. Μέσα από ασκήσεις, πειραματισμούς και αυτοσχεδιασμό θα εξερευνήσουμε πώς οι χαρακτήρες μας αποκτούν προσωπικότητα και συναίσθημα. Θα «τσαλακωθούμε» και θα δούμε πώς οι άλλοι αντιλαμβάνονται τις δημιουργίες μας. Θα δεχτούμε ο ένας τη ματιά του άλλου και θα ανακαλύψουμε νέες πλευρές της δικής μας δουλειάς. Ένα εργαστήριο που δεν έχει “σωστό” και “λάθος” μόνο παιχνίδι παρατήρηση και φρέσκια έμπνευση.
