We are very happy to share a unique experience from our IMC 444 Digital Marketing course!
This year, our students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in a project centred around the Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence (ECoE), following a training course by Blackbook Agency
After gaining valuable industry insights during the seminar, our students put their digital marketing skills into action by developing and presenting a project for the ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence (ECoE). Their work was evaluated by Eleftheria Voskaridou, Founder of Blackbook Agency, offering students hands-on experience and professional feedback in a real evaluation setting.
It was truly rewarding to witness our students engage with such a prominent centre of research and innovation, while exploring creative and impactful ways to communicate its mission and achievements.
A heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Voskaridou and the Blackbook Agency team for their continued support and for helping us bridge the gap between academia and the evolving world of marketing.

The Marketing Job Fair was successfully held on November 27, 2025, providing our students with invaluable networking opportunities and insights into the current job market.
This event was organized through the collaboration between Dr. Maria Voutsa, Internship Coordinator of the Department of Communication & Marketing, and Andria Papisi, Careers CUT / Γραφείο Σταδιοδρομίας Τεχνολογικού Πανεπιστημίου Κύπρου Career Officer at the Cyprus University of Technology / Τεχνολογικό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου.

As part of the Internship course, led by Dr. Maria Voutsa, we had the pleasure of hosting Yana Korzhenevskaya, Head of HR at Space307 !
The special presentation, held on Thursday, November 27th, 2025, focused on interview preparation, offering valuable insights and practical tips for our students pursuing internship positions.

Once again on 30 October 2025, students from our Department of Communication & Marketing had the opportunity to attend Marketing Next 2025 at Carob Mill, Limassol, an event supported by the Cyprus Marketing Association.
The event included exclusive knowledge into marketing effectiveness, future trends, and best practices, with confirmed master classes led by luminaries from Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, and other major players, as well as deep dives into brand-building in the age of creative fragmentation, content leadership in video and transmedia, next-generation AI agents in marketing, and performance-growth beyond search and social media.
Our students obtained essential knowledge, meet top industry professionals, and take part in engaging networking events meant to foster a lively, forward-thinking marketing community.

We were glad to welcome Ms. Anna Koukia, General Manager of Health Marketing Agency Zonepage.gr (ZonePage ), to our Digital Marketing course. She shared with us the value of the digital customer journey map and the creation of personas, as well as the importance of creating personas, and the strategic use of AI tools as a thinking partner in modern communication and marketing.
The lecture was held on the initiative of Dr. Maria Voutsas and Dr. Nikandros Ioannidis, Special Teaching Staff of the Department of Communication & Marketing.
This collaboration came about thanks to the hosting of one of our students as part of an Erasmus internship in Greece, which we are particularly pleased about, as it highlights the power of bridges of cooperation between teaching, organizations/businesses, and research.

The Persuasive Technology 2025 international conference was a great success, bringing together interdisciplinary researchers from the fields of Information Technology, Social Sciences, and Design.
The aim of the conference was to promote knowledge about the design and evaluation of technologies that seek to influence attitudes and behaviors through persuasion and social influence. Dr. Evangelos Karapanos participated in organizing the conference as chair, while Dr. Ioli Nikolaidou, Dr. Christos Themistocleous, and Dr. Maria Voutsa served on the scientific committee.
Our department was represented by two scientific papers: 1. When Nudges Backfire: A Distinction Between Spillovers and Misfires (Themistocleous, C. & Karapanos, E.) 2. Laughing at Bias: An Exploratory Study on Generation Z’s Persuasion and Skepticism Toward AI- vs. Human-Generated Sexist Humorous Ads (Voutsa, M., Kerkidou, D., & Hatzithomas, L.).
Special mention should be made of our final-year undergraduate student, Dimitra Kerkidou, for her commendable presentation of part of her thesis in an international scientific environment, which included participation by academics from around the world.
