🌍🌱 SECOND PLACE WORLDWIDE! 🌱🌍

We are incredibly proud to announce that Foley’s School has been awarded 2nd place worldwide in the Global Green School Ranking (GGSR) 2026, securing its place among the Global Green School Ranking 2026 – Super 30 Schools! 💚

This prestigious international recognition celebrates schools that have successfully embedded sustainability across every dimension of school life — from leadership and management to teaching and learning, school operations and meaningful community engagement, aligned with UNESCO’s Greening Education Partnership and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

Achieving second place globally is a remarkable recognition of the collective commitment, creativity and determination of our entire school community. From the classroom to our wider community, every initiative, every action and every contribution has helped build a culture in which sustainability is not simply taught but a shared commitment to a greener future.

Congratulations to our pupils, staff and entire Foley’s School community! This achievement belongs to all of us!

Scotland Adventure 2026

From Gordonstoun to the stunning Scottish Highlands, our pupils enjoyed an unforgettable journey packed with sport, adventure and lifelong memories!

At the prestigious Gordonstoun School, our basketball, tennis, volleyball and swimming teams competed with determination, teamwork and exceptional sportsmanship, representing the School with pride every step of the way.

The adventure then continued at Rothiemurchus Lodge in Aviemore, where pupils embraced exciting outdoor challenges including hiking, gorge walking, zip lining, tubing, paddle boarding and sailing. Every activity helped build resilience, confidence, leadership and friendships that will last a lifetime.

A huge well done to all of our pupils for the way they conducted themselves throughout the trip. They made us incredibly proud.

Our sincere thanks to everyone at Gordonstoun for their warm hospitality and for providing such a memorable experience.

🥾 Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Expedition Success! 🏕️

Congratulations to our nine Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award participants on successfully completing their Bronze Qualifying Expedition in the breathtaking Scottish Highlands!

During the expedition, our pupils navigated independently, carried all of their own equipment, camped in remote locations and worked together to overcome the challenges of life in the outdoors. Throughout the journey, they demonstrated outstanding resilience, teamwork, leadership, determination and independence.

Completing their expedition during our visit to Gordonstoun made this achievement even more special. Gordonstoun shares a unique connection with the Duke of Edinburgh's Award through its founder, Kurt Hahn, whose philosophy of outdoor education, service and personal development inspired Prince Philip to establish the Award.

Very few pupils in Cyprus have the opportunity to complete their Bronze Qualifying Expedition in Scotland, making this an exceptional and truly unforgettable experience.

We are incredibly proud of all nine participants on reaching this significant milestone in their Duke of Edinburgh journey. Congratulations on an outstanding achievement!

Between Thursday 25th June and Friday 26th June, our School was delighted to host an Erasmus+ Invited Expert Training on Artificial Intelligence in Education, co-funded through our Erasmus+ Accreditation (KA121).

Led by Dr Petros Georgiakakis, Digital Education Academic and AI specialist, the two-day hands-on training equipped over 40 members of staff with practical AI tools, innovative methodologies and classroom strategies to enhance teaching and learning. Our educators explored AI chatbots and agents, AI-aware lesson design, Brisk Teaching, NotebookLM, AI tools for differentiation, creative content generation, quiz makers, transcription tools and the ethical and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence in education.

The highly interactive workshop provided teachers with the opportunity to test a wide range of AI platforms and develop practical resources that they can confidently integrate into their classrooms from the next academic year.

A heartfelt thank you to Dr Petros Georgiakakis for an inspiring and outstanding professional development experience, and to all our colleagues for their enthusiasm, engagement and commitment to innovation.

🇪🇺🇮🇸 Foley's School at the VR4STEM Erasmus+ Project in Iceland!

Foley's School is proud to participate in the new Erasmus+ KA220 project, VR4STEM (Digital STEAM for All), promoting innovative STEAM education through the integration of Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence. The project brings together six partner organisations from Cyprus, Spain, Poland, Iceland, Greece and Turkey, working collaboratively to develop innovative digital learning resources and transform STEAM education across Europe.

As part of the project's teacher training, Ms T Georgiou, travelled to Kóraskóli Secondary School in Reykjavík, Iceland between Monday 22nd and Friday 26th June, where she collaborated with European partners to test VR learning modules, AI-driven lesson plans and innovative digital STEAM resources designed to enhance classroom teaching.

The programme also included an educational visit to Iceland's Golden Circle, featuring the Perlan Museum, the Hellisheiði Geothermal Power Plant and the Friðheimar Sustainable Tomato Farm, providing valuable insights into renewable energy, sustainability and real-world STEAM applications.

At Foley's School, we remain committed to bringing innovative European educational practices into our classrooms and equipping our pupils with the skills they need for the future.

What an unforgettable adventure in France 🇫🇷✨🥐

Our Paris–Normandie school trip was packed with incredible experiences, unforgettable memories, and so many smiles! 🌟

From taking in the breathtaking views from the Eiffel Tower to enjoying a magical dinner cruise on the Seine, every moment was special. We explored history at the Mémorial de Caen and paid our respects at D-Day Omaha Beach, where our pupils gained a deeper understanding of the courage and sacrifice that shaped our world.

Our Paris sightseeing tour included some of the city's most iconic landmarks: the Colonnes de Buren, Opéra Garnier, Jardin des Tuileries, Carrousel du Louvre, the Louvre, Notre-Dame de Paris, Sacré-Cœur, Butte Montmartre, the Arc de Triomphe, and the world-famous Champs-Élysées. ✨

The fun didn't stop there! Our pupils enjoyed a fantastic evening at the Oh! César cabaret dinner show, where there was plenty of laughter, music, and dancing! 💃🕺

We also had time for shopping at the beautiful Galeries Lafayette Haussmann, magical moments at Disneyland Paris, a visit to the magnificent Palace of Versailles, and an action-packed day at Parc Astérix! 🎢🏰🛍️

Most importantly, our pupils made lifelong memories, strengthened friendships, embraced new experiences, and represented our School with enthusiasm and respect throughout the trip.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this incredible adventure possible. Paris and Normandie - you've given us memories we'll treasure forever! ❤️Merci❤️
