The children had a wonderful time in the forest exploring the natural beauty of Cyprus while enjoying their picnic. They had lots of fun doing sports, competitions, and other games.

Τα παιδιά πέρασαν υπέροχα στο δάσος εξερευνώντας τη φυσική ομορφιά της Κύπρου ενώ απόλαυσαν το πικνίκ τους. Διασκέδασαν πολύ με αθλοπαιδιές, αγώνες και άλλα παιχνίδια.

Environmental week during English class. The children practised their creativity and imagination, learned about environmental protection and enhanced their English language skills by practising new vocabulary. Great job everyone!

The successful candidate will:

▪️Hold a degree in Greek language or equivalent degree in teaching Greek as a foreign language. (Greek language position)
▪️Hold a degree in English language or equivalent degree/native speaker (English language position)
▪️Be able to work in a diverse environment with Russian-speaking students.
▪️Have excellent communication skills.
▪️Knowledge of Russian will be considered an advantage

Duties:

▪️Planning and preparing course according to the curriculum
▪️Planning and preparing weekly lessons
▪️Assessing students and providing feedback
▪️Recording pupils’ development and progress
▪️Implement positive methods of teaching and encourage students’ learning▪
▪️Be able to lead the classroom effectively
▪️Participate in school meetings and events
▪️Be actively involved in the school life
▪️Collaborate with other colleagues and work under the guidance of the Headteacher and School Director as well as independently
▪️Contribute to a positive school environment
▪️Be a good role model for the students

Greek language teacher Greek language teacher/ teach Greek as a second language for Russian speaking students (primary & secondary private school)

During animal week the children explored endangered species with their English language teachers, they worked on fun and creative projects and worked together as a group while using interactive boards for presentations. Well done everyone for making learning fun, creative and ecological! 🥳💚🐧🐢

All our groups got to enjoy a day out and about tuning in to nature. As one of our English teachers shares:

"What's the best thing about a camel? It will never desert you! Our students got to meet these amazing creatures during this week's excursion to the camel park. We rode around the park on a train, frequently stopping to feed and pet the gentle giants, and also made friends with goats, deer and lemurs. We left the park about as happy as a camel after a piece of carob!"

Who says learning can't be fun? Our students put this statement to the test during the trip to the donkey farm as part of the week dedicated to Cyprus and its traditions. We met the lovely hardworking animals, learned how they helped Cypriots in their everyday lives, and made our very own traditional bread (koulourakia) using an old family recipe. Nothing beats a souvenir that you make with your own hands!
