The Arctic Challenge – extra fun guaranteed! ❄️

In 2025, we had the wonderful opportunity to make history! 🌳 Our teams worked with to move a ~40-year-old Linden Tree across their campus — a first of its kind in Romania. As part of their sustainability initiative, the tree was moved instead of being cut down to make space for campus expansion. 🏫

🌱 Students witnessed this incredible engineering feat and learned how physics, maths and biology can contribute to environmental protection and amazing engineering.

Foamblock staff helped set up student visits, adapted content for each year group, coordinated between engineering teams and contributed to designing and building the steel raft that held the tree. 🛠️

We’re proud to have participated in this achievement and hope it inspires young minds to take on awesome challenges — showing that solutions can be found if there’s a will! 💡
