✨ Today we celebrate the final day of the ENGINEER project! ✨

Over the past years, this initiative has strengthened the research and innovation capacities of the Department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics at Cyprus University of Technology / Τεχνολογικό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου, building new opportunities in Cultural Heritage monitoring, digitization, and preservation.

A big thank you to our partners Politecnico di Milano, Universidade de Aveiro (CICECO-Aveiro Institute of Materials), UCL, and the Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence, as well as to everyone who joined our workshops, summer schools, trainings, and knowledge-transfer activities. 🙌

Together, we’ve built a strong foundation for the future of Cultural Heritage research in Cyprus! 🇨🇾💡

The second day of the ENGINEER Final Event, held on Friday, 12th of September 2025, at POED in Nicosia, focused on reflection, evaluation, and the consolidation of project outcomes. The day began with an introduction by Dr. Athos Agapiou, Coordinator of the ENGINEER project, followed by a collective discussion on the outcomes of the previous day’s sessions.

Partners then engaged in structured reflections on each Work Package (WP). POLIMI led the review of WP1 (Knowledge and Research Gap), while the University of Aveiro (UAVEIRO) guided discussions on WP2 (Training Capacity). UCL presented insights on WP3 (Research Management and Administrative Skills), and CUT led the evaluation of WP4 (Mobility and Networking). The dialogue continued with POLIMI addressing WP5 (Industry & Knowledge Transfer), and CUT presenting on WP6 (Exploratory Research Project), WP7 (Reforming the R&I System), and WP9 (Dissemination, Communication and Outreach Activities).

The day concluded with closing remarks and a discussion on future synergies, reaffirming the commitment of all partners to continue collaboration beyond the project’s official timeline and to build on ENGINEER’s legacy.
