Liberian Student Association in North Cyprus

Today, one of our students succumbed to the pains of death. One of the dedicated and diligent students that left Liberia to complete their studies was Joel Kollie, alias Zue. He led the football squad at Rauf Denktas University as its captain. Zue was respectful and humbled. He served as the football team's deputy captain for the Liberian Students Association in Northern Cyprus. The Liberian community in Northern Cyprus is extremely grieved for our brother's passing. Our sympathies go out to his family.

We are deeply saddened to inform you that our beloved Jackline Marlo Gueh has died. She died last night in Istanbul after suffering from brain tumor.

May God forgive her sins and grant her paradise!! To the bereaved family, we say sorry with heavy hearts.

The Liberian Students' Association in Northern Cyprus would like to draw everyone's attention to a student who is currently in critical condition.

A month after arriving in Cyprus, Jackline Marlo Gueh collapsed in class. Her CT scan and MRI revealed a brain tumor. The tumor's sensitive location (deep in the brain), according to doctors in Cyprus, makes surgery impossible. Jackline only option is specialized radiation therapy, which is only available in Turkey, India, or the United States. She was airlifted to Turkey's Bakirkoy Hospital, where she is fighting for her life. Her full treatment is on hold due to a lack of funds.

We are appealing to everyone's conscience to make whatever contribution they may afford. The total cost is $75000 USD
